My new single, Not Your Angel, is out now! Singing on behalf of the earth and the divine feminine principal, I reject over-sanitised notions of femininity and reclaim my rage as a vital force 🔥

Dragonfly
When the shell of your body cracked open
Did you know what you would become
What you were becoming
What you were?
The memory of water glistening on your wings
It wasn’t easy down there
Belonging yet not belonging
Content yet not content
Bound by unseen forces to a life that didn’t fit
You knew there was something more
Didn’t you?
And now
Look at you!
Resplendent
Magnificent
Majestic
Shimmering in the light
Singing of freedom
Heralding magic and the transformation of things
You teach me to trust in a world breaking apart
You teach me to dream when the night seems without end
To be honest
You make change look rather glamorous

Thank you to Keith @WalshEditorial for your reflections on Not Your Angel. I also find it fascinating that Inanna was a goddess of both Love & War. Also if you pay attention to the lyrics you will notice the emphasis is less on attack and more on NOT rescuing the perpetrator… 🔥
For #RuthBlake @ruthblakemusic, latest single 'Not Your Angel' is about reclaiming "rage as a vital force in protection of my boundaries, values, and things I hold sacred". More on the @jamesyuill-produced effort from @WalshEditorial ~ tinyurl.com/ruth-blake-pr-be… #bloggerstribe
Feeling grateful to have had another one of my videos featured as a flawless Friday video (the first being the video for Brave Ships). Thank it soo much @evadiva0516 🙏🏼🔥❤️
