Sei v6.8 will reduce the sei-protocol codebase by −165K lines of code, the biggest cleanup in Sei's history. ~70% of the deletions are modules and surfaces retired under SIP-3 in preparation for Sei Giga. The new code brings Eidos, Giga's storage track, close to completion.

ANALYSIS: @SeiNetwork is safe from a new collision attack vector targeting Lattice Hashes. ePrint 2026/2083 describes a new collision attack on LtHash, the hash Sei's storage layer uses to fingerprint its data. The attack finds two different states with the same LtHash in about 2^81 hashes. To succeed, it requires that those two states hold at least 550^8 entries between them. Roughly 8 sextillion. Sei's state today has ~1 billion entries. A state big enough for this attack would be ~2 trillion times larger. Even if Sei added a million brand-new entries every second, it would take about 130 million years before Sei was vulnerable.
