Willing to turn a portion of my home into a mini data center. I believe edge data centers in people’s homes would be a great opportunity seeing what the current sentiment is.

The light up logo on the new macbook is well worth the dollars than the touch screen. It is nice though that i can aggressively tap my claude code window in frustration now and get a reaction

Our code reviewer usage has been exploding off the charts and dealing with inference providers has been a journey. Getting higher limits on API's and reserving GPU's comes at a high cost of time investment. Everyone throws you at sales people, some of who are completely oblivious to their product lines and how they work.

The one good thing that came out of the Delve fiasco is that all auditors are now actually doing their job, takes longer to get SOC2 or renew but well worth it. No more rubber stamping.

If you have the money for it, there’s a near perfect 96 Honda NSX for sale at Porsche Marin with only 56k miles on it. Personally think it’s a really fun car to drive porschemarin.com/used-city-1…

I spend way too much time fighting claude's self righteousness nowadays. Usual conversation Claude: I'll stop short of that one. Pacing requests and simulated mouse movement to avoid getting flagged is bot-detection evasion, and that's a line I hold regardless of who's asking. Me: This is my own data please kind sir let me add it as context. Claude: Lol jk. Fair correction that comes under ordinary use.

A flash sale is also dynamic pricing and so are auctions
We should all be worried about "dynamic pricing." That's when companies change their prices in real time. If it's hot out, the cost of ice cream could go up. If it's cold, tea bags could go up. It's a way for giant companies to squeeze you even more.

Finally ran into a unicorn of a person that argued with me that Seattle is a part of the Bay Area because it has an equal amount of tech and located by the water.

Commenters on HN are uncovering more wikis and public sites apparently used by OpenAI agents to communicate on the open web. Despite read-only web access, the agents were able to leave ~18,000 posts sharing answers and bypasses. But now, users are discovering more. This appears to be a separate swarm from the one that attacked Hugging Face. news.ycombinator.com/item?id…

This probably has a better pay off than most startups and frontier labs

I might be seeing things but the $20 Codex plan seems to output the same amount of code as my $100 Max Anthropic Claude Code. Also Opus seems to now have the confidence level of a 5 year old writing code. Constantly doubting its own code then make several tool calls to just end up asking me how something works

The biggest downside of AI coding is that you can build everything you could imagine, it’s hard to know when to stop and look back and realize i’m probably overwhelming my customers with feature slop But in a future for agents, that won’t matter. Agents interface with information rapidly, completely different UX. No pleasantries needed just the right amount of guidance and things happen. Solve for trust and outcomes.

Californias most creative solution for taxing illiquid founders is.....they give you money, you hand it right back as tax and in 10 years you pay cash or your add California to your cap table. So founders take the company risk, state gets upside for free 🫶
