One conversation with @boardyai about lead assets. I figured it'd turn into three pieces of content. Then I counted. Four. A Substack essay, a LinkedIn post, a LinkedIn newsletter, and an article on Copyflight. All built in the Claude Content Engine I set up. (The seven-page services guide got finished overnight too. Sleep is a suggestion.) The Substack went out at 6:55 this morning. A lead magnet is built for everybody, which means nobody in particular, and you trade it for an email address. A lead asset is built for one person, out of their own material. It's worth something even if they never hire me. None of mine have turned into paid work yet. I put that in the essay too. So I'm adding two things. A bridge that shows what one piece would look like across their whole business. And a door, which is a soft ask. It doesn't scale. Neither does a handshake. 30 Days of @boardyai, today's progress: tejones.substack.com/p/wedne…

More important now than ever to be remembered & trusted
I appreciate that Google includes citations in AI Overviews, but not when the cited pages don’t actually contain any information about the sentence they’re attached to. 😣

How can your brand be memorable, build awareness & trust?
Building AI visibility is essentially cultivating brand vibes across every surface/platform online It's not a direct sales channel for B2B SaaS It's a brand-builder and awareness play that gets you on the shortlist + builds cultural cache/authority with the audience

Hot take: Saying hot take before an actual hot take lessons the blow, IMO.

Dusty Rhodes cut the best sales pitch of 1985. He never once pitched the match. He talked about the people watching. The auto workers. The guy who got a watch and a pink slip. Most brands do the opposite. They talk about themselves for 30 seconds and wonder why nobody cheers. Five lessons from the ring, in about 30 seconds. (Sound off is fine. Dusty would've hated that.) Comment Dusty for the ebook link. #storytelling #prowrestling #brandstory

“Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m passionate about helping businesses grow.” Three seconds. That’s about all she gets. I’ve been harping on About pages for years. Workshops, audits, articles. The same thing keeps showing up: founders write the page for themselves, and the buyer leaves with three questions nobody answered. Can I trust this person? Do they understand my problem? Are they the right fit for me? Most About pages miss at least one. Some miss all three. (Sarah went 0 for 3. Sorry, Sarah.) Watch the visitor bounce. Then go look at yours. Which one is your page failing? The 6Ps About Page Blueprint is the fix. Comment Blueprint for the link.

Swap the logo on your last blog post. Would anybody notice? That’s what Google means by commodity content. It’s the first thing AI Overviews devour. The opposite takes five checks. Relevant. Engaging. Original. Inspirational. Transformational. Original is the one most people skip. I call it receipts. The 16-page workbook is pay what you want. Link in the comments. Great for founders, SMBs and consultants #contentstrategy #AIOverviews #B2Bmarketing

LinkedIn keeps telling me my next client is a copywriter. Copywriters are 1% of the people looking at my profile. Founders, owners, CEOs, co-founders and presidents are 23%. I don't write for copywriters. From what I hear, they look for a real long time, never say a word, then one day show up in your DMs. LinkedIn's doing its best impression of @boardyai. It's not there yet.

The brief has taken on a whole new life... or it should. No more vagueness. Figure you out your IP Content (I call it uPOV). Determine the 6Ps and then create your entire Brand Vault. Do that before you start creating content and remixing. When I work with a founder led brand, we start here first.
Hot Take: The brief is the most valuable document in marketing and with the rise of AI it has become the most under-estimated slopified document in marketing.

In 1985, Dusty Rhodes looked into a camera with no script and cut a promo people still quote. He told Stone Cold Steve Austin he gave it no thought until it came out of his mouth. That's the part worth stealing. Wrestling doesn't have a budget for boring. Every week the crowd has to care, remember what happened, and believe enough to buy a ticket. That's the whole business. It's also yours. I was a 10-year-old kid in 1981 when Georgia wrestling aired a match I never got over. I'm in my fifties now. I still remember it. This micro eBook is five lessons I took from the ring, written the way I'd tell them on a porch. copyflight.gumroad.com/l/5-l…

Google finally named it. Commodity content. You've read a thousand of them. Same points. Same structure. Same nothing. Written to hit a word count and a keyword, then left out in the sun.

You know that fantastic testimonial or review you got from the client who absolutely loved your work? Yeah, you can turn that into a micro case study. I built a system to do it and its all on this page. copyflight.com/micro-case-st…

A man took four piledrivers on TV in 1981. Reports say the phones lit up. Then the promotion told the story of his comeback for weeks. I never forgot it. Five storytelling lessons from pro wrestling. Micro eBook, $4+. copyflight.gumroad.com/l/5-l…
