Sometimes I think I am relic from a past age, as I do appreciate being accompanied by well dressed men! So few men bother nowadays.
Cool to see GQ editor Will Welch get styled by Andre 3000. This style is called a pagoda shoulder (or "spalla insellata" in Italy bc of its resemblance to a horse saddle). It's the hardest style to make bc of the amount of work that goes into shaping the canvas. IG willwelch

This week's #TwentiesTuesday garment is this chic c. 1922-28 day suit sold by New York retailer Stennessy’s. The brown wool dress features decorative lacing and a woven motif on the cuffs that match the pattern of the fur-trimmed jacket. @FIDMMuseum collection. #Fashionhistory

There are too many competent designers roaming this planet who can design more luxurious designs fitting this theme instead of Pharrell dressing these women in tights that can be bought on temu next week.

anti-fashion bias runs deep in western culture, but it’s especially pronounced among american male protestants, who often treat disdain for clothing as a moral or intellectual virtue. there’s a particular pride in loudly signaling this, so everyone pats you on the back
