Labour has done nothing in the budget to help with SEND. The £2bn black hole forecast in March remains unaddressed. Special schools are being axed, pressure on mainstream schools is mounting, & schools are sounding the alarm that SEND staff jobs are on the line.

These are just the actual transfers. Many more qualified for transfer out of the UK but were declined by the EU despite Dublin. In the last year before Brexit where Dublin still fully applied the UK applied to transfer 8500 to the EU. Only 105 were actually accepted
Anyone STILL citing the failed Dublin Agreement as the reason for small boats is fundamentally dishonest. Was trying to think of an “or” to add to that sentence but there isn’t one.

First Danny Kruger, now Robert Jenrick. Why do these gutless turncoats find it so hard to answer whether calling Kemi Badenoch a “Nigerian scammer” is racist? If Raheem Kassam is just “a journalist”, and not a key part of Nigel’s inner circle, why are they protecting him?
‘Is calling Kemi Badenoch a “Nigerian scammer” racist, yes or no?’ ‘…I’m not on your show to talk about what a journalist has tweeted.’ Reform's Robert Jenrick refuses to engage with @Lewis_Goodall's question about Raheem Kassam's comments on the Tory leader.

Surely the obvious repost from a reporter when Trump asks 'who are you with?' before the obligatory media insult should be 'who are you with Mr President?'
YIKES 😳 Trump snaps at a reporter asking him about why he's dismissing sexual abuse allegations 👇 WOMAN REPORTER: Do the sexual abuse allegations mean nothing to you, sir? TRUMP: Wait. Wait! Wait wait wait. Slow down. Who are you with? REPORTER: NBC, sir. But they are very serious sexual abuse allegations TRUMP: Quiet! Isn't she a fresh person? You're a horrible little reporter, aren't you?

The Russians tortured 500 people in Bucha. The Russians tortured children in Bucha. The Russians tortured dogs in Bucha. The Russians killed animals in Bucha. In Bucha, the Russians used military vehicles to hunt people—turning it into a game. People ran, the Russians fired, they hunted them down, playing games. And this didn’t just happen in Bucha. Trump and his mafia gang call this "humanitarian." What do you call it?
Bucha. It was a genocide, recognized by everyone. They buried hundreds of people. They tortured people. We found the grave. There were, I believe, around 500 people. When we liberated those towns near Kyiv, there emerged this, you know, this kind of hatred for the Russians, right at that moment. Not even at the moment when they started the full-scale war. Back then nobody understood what it really was yet. People understood what this war was and what Putin did personally when we found those mass graves of tortured adults, children. I mean they didn't just kill them, they tortured and killed them. When we liberated Bucha, I said, bring every journalist here. Don't touch anything, just bring the journalists. The whole world simply has to see this. Imagine finding a mass grave in the U.S. or in Britain, God forbid, with 500 tortured people, adults, kids, dogs, animals shot dead. I mean, they held hunting sprees there from military vehicles. People were running, they were shooting, just hunting, playing games. They literally just played with people, like slavery. So how, after this, can you listen to Putin? And how, after this, can you forgive? From The Diary of a CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett. (2/3)

I worked with Danny Kruger - and many others in different parties across the House - to defeat the Assisted Dying Bill. He is better than this. Frankly, Danny should be ashamed of himself for not calling out this crap for what it is. That ‘comment’ was wrong - end of story.
Labour now pushing on Raheem Kassam: “It’s astonishing that Reform’s top team can’t bring themselves to condemn blatant racism. “This isn’t about party politics. It’s about standing up for our shared values. After ITV’s investigation exposed just how widespread this problem is in Reform – it’s time for Nigel Farage to finally act. “Farage should lay down a marker by calling out this vile language and state it is unacceptable in his party. If he doesn’t act, it will speak volumes about just who Reform really are.”

Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

🏛️ The House of Lords is asking about children's social care, and they want to hear from families like ours. Their Public Services Committee is looking into how the system in England is working: foster carer shortages, support for kinship carers, children's homes, private providers, Ofsted and more. Written evidence closes at 11:59pm on Monday 26 October. What the rules say on paper and what families actually go through often aren't the same thing. This is a chance to tell them. You don't need to answer every question, just the bits you know about. It has to be written fresh for them, not something you've posted before. And keep it about the system, with no names or details of any child or live case. Here's the form: committees.parliament.uk/wor… I've sent mine in. Will you add yours? #PCMConsultations #ChildrensSocialCare #HaveYourSay

How did one naval officer help change the course of British political history? In the Cannon's Mouth by @michaelkeegan14 explores Admiral of the Fleet Sir Roger Keyes's career from his reputation as a daring naval commander to his fiery intervention in the 1940 Norway debate which cleared the path for Churchill to become Prime Minister. “This well-researched and scintillatingly written book is an important new addition to the world of Churchill studies.” @aroberts_andrew Preorder your copy today: amazon.co.uk/Cannons-Mouth-B…

Hague is demonstrably correct. Going to say it again. The fact there are still people on the right lashing themselves to and venerating Trump is incomprehensible.
William Hague declares Trump the worst president of his lifetime, and struggles to see how anyone could have a different opinion. “This mishandling of world affairs … is the most serious development and negative development in the world since the Second World War.“ @StigAbell | @WilliamJHague

Same feeling here. Most of the systems already exist on paper, they just don't work the way they're meant to for a lot of families. I'd start there before reinventing anything.
