During the Siege of Malta the island was the most bombed place in the world, suffering more than London during the Blitz. Over 75% of buildings were destroyed. Read Tracy Cook's piece on the inspiration for her novel Wings Over Valletta at historiamag.com/women-siege-… @TracyCook2

Delighted to see my piece about the brave women plotting aircraft battles in Malta who inspired my new novel, Wings Over Valletta, is the lead story in Historia magazine. Read it now - they truly are unsung heroes!
The women who plotted air fights during the Siege of Malta are largely forgotten now But their skilled work helped the RAF to defend the island against invasion in the early 1940s. Tracy Cook writes about the inspiration for her debut novel at historiamag.com/women-siege-… @TracyCook2

Thrilled my novel Wings Over Valletta is out today - it tells the story of these brave women who plotted air fights in Malta in World War Two.

Ooh, looketty look! Our favourite fiction hashtag, #HistoricalFiction, is trending! Might it be because FIVE novels by HWA authors are published today?* Novels by Alison Weir, Glenda Young, Lucy Waverley, Mike Hollow and Tracy Cook! *Possibly not. But you never know

I can’t believe the news. I am so sad. Michael and I were trainee assistant producers together back in 1985 and became good friends sharing many lunch breaks as we forged our early careers at the BBC. He was always so cheerful and kind. Thinking of Clare and his family.
It is with such profound sadness that we say farewell to our friend and client, the wise, wonderful and lovely man, Michael Mosley. Our hearts are with Clare and the children. Michael was unique. The work he did was important. We will miss him dreadfully.

Ladies if you ever miss your train & cannot get back home don’t try to check into ⁦@HiltonHotels⁩ I was told there was a room but after I had no photo ID this happened. Always be prepared to tell men (even strangers) where you have been & why you are out at 1am.

It’s been a long old journey to get to this point and still much further to go, but want to say a huge thank you to all the people I owe so much too, for their help and support along the way, especially Clare Coombes @LiverpoolLit her brilliant creative insight and ideas...

Thanks @BridportPrize. That 2021 longlisting was such an important boost. Made me believe I could really do this, kept me going through the low points. (There were many)

I’ve learned so much from the excellent @cbcreative course, from fantastic @JerichoWriters and @annamburtt and their endless helpful webinars. Teeth cut on @IAmInPrint 1-2-1’s on previous novel, now-in-the-drawer.
