💡 GLP-1s now account for more than 8% prescriptions in the US. The latest GLP-1 monitoring report, updated through September 2026, shows how quickly the landscape is moving: 📈 Anti-obesity prescribing increased right after the launch of Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program 💉 Tirzepatide prescribing grew 11% in three months and remains the most prescribed GLP-1 medication 💊 Orforglipron (Foundayo pill) prescribing more than doubled after its April approval Dive into the analysis: tr.vet/4sMs0Jp

📍 Heading to #AMIA2026 in Dallas? Join Clinical Terminologist Jamalynne Deckard, MS on Monday, November 9 as she shares insights on the syntactic and semantic normalization of more than 2.5M cancer staging records. Researchers used our LLM, TLM-Oncology, to extract staging data from clinical notes across all solid tumors, then normalized it to SNOMED CT in the Truveta Data Model. The result is a consistent, research-ready dataset for health system, academic, government, and life science researchers. We hope to see you at @AMIAinformatics!

New research from #EASD2026: Adults with type 2 diabetes on basal insulin who used CGM had a 45% lower mortality risk at one year and 36% lower at two years, plus lower risk of heart attack, stroke, and hospitalization. Using target trial emulation, the analysis of 28,000 patients within Truveta Data adds to the evidence that the value of CGMs may extend well beyond glucose control. Since its launch on July 1, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program expanded access to GLP-1 medications for seniors by reducing out-of-pocket costs. Three months later, new findings from Truveta Research show GLP-1 prescribing among adults aged 65+ remains elevated: ➡️ GLP-1 prescribing was 20.6% higher in September compared to June ➡️ First-time GLP-1 prescriptions was up 21.3% ➡️ Tirzepatide (Zepbound) prescribing rose 71.1% and semaglutide (Wegovy) prescribing rose 32.8% Read the full analysis: tr.vet/48wOJ2M

Rare diseases have historically been difficult to study in real-world care, and new research using Truveta Data is helping change that 🔎 A study published in the Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases characterized 214 patients with ornithine transcarbamylase deficiency (OTCD), a rare genetic disorder. Researchers combined longitudinal EHR data with symptoms and clinical details extracted from physician notes not captured in structured data to create a more complete view and advance care for this rare patient population. 📣 Live from IMPACCT RWE in Boston: VP of Partnerships Conor Wyand shared how Truveta is shortening the time to insight, giving researchers a faster way to spot emerging trends, explore new questions, and turn what they learn into trusted evidence. It’s a new way of approaching real-world research: learn faster, ask better questions, and ultimately generate evidence that can improve healthcare.

🫀 When someone is hospitalized for heart failure, doctors work to remove extra fluid. But how intensive does that treatment need to be? A new study in the Journal of Cardiac Failure (@JCardFail) used Truveta Data to look at more than 109,000 heart failure hospitalizations across US health systems. They found that more intensive diuretic treatment removed more fluid, but it wasn’t linked to fewer readmissions or deaths within 90 days. Patients who lost more weight did have lower odds of those outcomes, whichever treatment they got. Read the research: tr.vet/3WcAspb

Robotic-assisted hip replacements have nearly tripled in the US, from 3.8% of procedures in 2018 to 10.8% in 2026. The latest analysis from Truveta Research looked at more than 259,000 total hip replacements to see how outcomes compare when robotic assistance is used. 📍 Heading to #AMCPNexus in San Diego? Join Director of Research Brianna Cartwright, MS on Wednesday, October 28 for insights on early uptake of oral semaglutide for obesity (the Wegovy pill). The Truveta Research team looked at nearly 49,000 patients who received a prescription or fill after FDA approval. A preview of what we found: ➡️ Most patients with a recent encounter had no prior evidence of GLP-1 therapy ➡️ Among patients with prescriber data available, most received the prescription from a general practice provider We hope to see you there! @amcporg

Linking genomic data with clinical data can help us unlock profound insights into how genetics affect health. The goal of the Truveta Genome Project is to transform human health by impacting how diseases are prevented, diagnosed, and cured. Hear from Senior Director of Genomics Kristin Rand, PhD, MPH on what makes our approach unique: the breadth and depth of the clinical and genomic data, the real-time view of the patient journey, and health systems as partners at the center of it all: tr.vet/4dpQFM9

The Truveta Genome Project aspires to create the largest and most diverse de-identified database of genotypic and phenotypic information ever assembled. And today, we are enrolling patients and collecting samples. 🧬 In her latest perspective, Kristin Rand, PhD, MPH reflects on the months of building the foundation for a consented, de-identified genomic dataset linked with longitudinal clinical data, created in collaboration with participating health systems. She shares why context is what gives genomics its power, how health systems lead enrollment and informed consent to honor patient trust, and why representation at scale matters for discoveries that benefit all patients. Robotic assistance is becoming a much bigger part of knee replacement surgery. Truveta Research examined how its use has changed and how outcomes compare: ➡️ Across more than 360,000 knee replacements, use of robotic assistance nearly tripled, rising from 12.4% of procedures in 2018 to 36.1% in 2026. ➡️ Robotic-assisted procedures took longer, but were associated with lower rates of several short- and long-term postoperative complications after adjustment for patient and clinical characteristics. Healthcare generates valuable knowledge every day through patient encounters, clinical insights, and research discoveries. But too often, that knowledge remains fragmented within individual institutions, slowing opportunities to improve care. 🔎 A learning health system creates a path for those insights to travel farther. By connecting clinical, genomic, and imaging data, researchers can develop a more complete understanding of patients, disease, treatments, and outcomes. Our latest perspective from President and Chief Scientific Officer Johnathan Lancaster, MD, PhD explores why learning together may be healthcare’s greatest innovation and how collaboration helps healthcare learn faster: tr.vet/3Wsj7bO
