Designed to evaluate general practice knowledge, the NAPLEX® is taken by recent college of pharmacy graduates shortly after they receive their degree. The exam is used by the boards of pharmacy to assess a candidate’s competence to practice as a pharmacist.

Malaria remains a major public health threat in many tropical and subtropical regions. First-line drugs have repeatedly failed due to the spread of drug-resistant strains of Plasmodium falciparum, the parasite that causes the disease.
