UMass Men's Basketball

Jordan Clayton on facing BC: "My house is 10-15 minutes away from TD Garden. Very familiar. Great experience. I’m a Massachusetts guy, but I’m at UMass Amherst. BC is supposed to be the biggest school in Massachusetts and things like that. It will be a great opportunity to see, this year, which team is the best right now." @UMassMBB @Jclayton_13

Northwestern transfer Jordan Clayton on Frank Martin: "Frank’s style is definitely tough love. That’s what I grew up around. He definitely gets on you, but you can tell that he really cares about you and wants you to be your best. That’s something really valuable to me." @UMassMBB @Jclayton_13

UMass catalyst Jayden Ndjigue on the matchup with Boston College: "We want to take pride in being the best team in Massachusetts. Being able to play a team like Boston College at TD Garden, it means a lot for us. We have a lot of guys on the team this year that are from the state, and we have a lot of people that are highly anticipating that game and are excited to come out and support and see what we can do." @UMassMBB @J11yden

Jayden Ndjigue on Frank Martin: "He means a lot, man. I’ve made too many mistakes to count in my time here. He’s stuck by me through all of them. He’s always come in, whether or not I made a hundred mistakes the day before, and still tried to help me gain a better understanding of the game of basketball." @UMassMBB @coachFMartin @J11yden

Frank Martin on the local flavor on the roster: "Those Eastern Mass. guys who we have on our team now are phenomenal. I’m really happy that they get to play basically in their backyard and represent their state. Every time they take the court, their heart is going to be surrounded by the two names that are making them who they are: their last name on the back and Massachusetts on the front. That’s what it’s all about for guys that stay home." @UMassMBB @coachFMartin

Frank Martin on Junjie Wang: "He’s an incredible offensive talent. I’m blown away with how talented he is offensively. I’m like a little kid in the toy store. When you have somebody with that offensive talent, you spend all day designing ideas for how to get him opportunities to make decisions with the ball." @UMassMBB @coachFMartin

UMass men's basketball coach Frank Martin: "We’re returning seven players. For me, that’s an epiphany. It used to be you return 10 guys every year and you have two or three new guys. Now, the norm is you have two or three returning guys and 10, 11, or 12 new guys. Getting seven guys back is huge." @UMassMBB @coachFMartin
