Bro did all the work to pull off a $7.45M heist just to get robbed by a line of code that snitched on him for a $371K reward. Peak Web3. 💀
Someone discovered a way to steal $7.45M from a wallet on Avalanche.
But before the hacker's transaction could execute, an MEV bot copied it and took the entire $7.45M first.
The original hacker got nothing.
The bot then contacted the wallet owners, offered to return the money, and requested a 5-10% bounty.
They agreed to let it keep 42,500 WAVAX, worth roughly $371K, and the bot returned the rest.
The increase in Nigeria’s public debt under Tinubu is about ₦72 trillion and counting. 😭
That’s an amount comparable to the entire annual GDP of some countries.
