WICF is so proud to be sponsoring the 1. SK Ottakring Frauenbundesliga team this season! ♟️♥️
This is the first time the club will have it's own women's team in the league! We are so lucky we can support these incredible players in their chess journey.
Streamers are a valuable members of the chess community helping to grow the game.
When they stream their tournaments, they deserve to feel safe and respected, not just by their audience, but also by tournament directors, arbiters and federations.
The new Streamer Safeguarding Standards, developed by Matt Perchard (@houslinetv), were made to assist anyone planning to include streamers in their local chess community events.

men are so afraid of seeing women win because it shows them that we can be extraordinary in the oppressive system they created #JusticeforTheLionesses
4NCL Director Mike Truran has denied the @SPTWchess Lionesses the historic chance to become the first all-women's chess team to compete in a top-flight chess league anywhere in the world. 🙄
The Lionesses earned promotion to 4NCL Division 1 by winning 4NCL Division 2.

Proud members of the 2004 U.S. Women’s Olympiad Team, which captured America’s first-ever team medal at the Olympiad — and still the strongest performance in U.S. Women’s Olympiad history: 1 team Silver and 3 individual medals (2 Gold, 1 Silver).
I wrote about it extensively—including many of the dramas (including death threats)—in my memoir Rebel Queen (amazon.com/Rebel-Queen-Misog…)
