Going to walk down the post and address what I can because I think you've earned it as a longtime community member.
--------------------
"MegaETH is supposed to be a chain for apps, and now you're undermining some that were boosted by the campaign."
>>>
We are not undermining apps with this move. In fact, we are re-emphasizing our efforts on apps because we recognize that that is how we win. The problem is that we evaluated Terminal data and saw that it wasn't the best deployment of our time and resources.
Our superpower, right now, is the stuff that doesn't scale: Hands-on product feedback personalized GTM.
We drifted to far from that, saw it, and are now going back to it. It doesn't mean programs and campaigns stop going forward - it just means they're more opinionated than Terminal was (and how we used to do them).
The problem wasn't solely inorganic activity, but it was a factor. The problem is that in 2026 we weren't able to attract the good activity with the inorganic activity. It was disproportionate and a bad influence on our apps. Users overwhelmingly creating noise and low-quality feedback (but there was good to be found).
--------------------
"The boosts weren't perfect, and early users weren't rewarded for activity before Terminal, except for certain boosts. But what are you going to do for us?"
>>>
This is hard for me to interpret because one of the singular largest feedbacks we got for Terminal was that it was TOO strongly favoring existing users.
Example comment (with 10k impressions): xitter.cf/cpongl/status/20567892…
It's true too. Point allocations gained to this point heavily favored pre-Terminal users because of their multipliers and was going to decay over time (but that didn't have time to play out).
--------------------
"Why not just finish season 1 and stop the campaign as planned after two months?"
>>>
I think it's important to remind everyone that Terminal and points are a cost to us. They are not imaginary or free.
So your ask is "Why didn't you continue to run a program that you believe was ineffective or a misallocation of resources for longer because I was doing it?"
We saw that the spend was leading to an outcome that didn't justify the cost, so we shut it down and will re-route the resources elsewhere.
--------------------
"MOSS won't solve anything, and you're hiding behind it. We need fapps, consumer dapps, Morpho, and Pendle."
We very much are not hiding behind it - we're clearly communicating to you what we think will lead to the thing you're specifically asking for within our ecosystem.
MegaETH is technologically great. So great, in fact, that it's forcing us to have to re-build everything around us so that the underlying can even be leveraged.
Indexers, block explorers, and now wallets (MOSS).
See:
xitter.cf/Barthazian/status/2056…
The current ecosystem isn't built for our chain, so we're taking some of that into our hands. People complain that our apps are slow, have too many clicks or a new one is required for every application. It ruins the experience on Mega and dampens users willingness to explore on different applications because they have to top up everywhere.
Well guess what? MOSS fixes this.
That means net-new applications can spin up, leverage MOSS and immediately have responsive experiences that tap into funds users have on MegaETH for other apps that use MOSS. No more new wallets.
THAT is how we unify the eco and give new apps the ability to instantly have access to liquidity and performance. It's also why we're focusing on it.
--------------------
"How will you reward those who were there before Terminal?
>>>
Covered above.
--------------------
"Do you really think that people who wanted to deposit USDM and received points without using the chain deserve them? They would receive USDM even though they contributed nothing? Some didn't even touch the chain and are in the top 100. That deserves a redistribution to those who actually used the chain.
>>>
Why do you assume this is the case?
xitter.cf/0xHeisenbruh/status/20…
--------------------
"How will you give value to Mega? With MOOS, will we be able to pay for gas in Mega or USDM?"
>>>
Yes, you can. Gas sponsorship, pay-in-any-token are both features.
That is the strongest value prop of MEGA which we have detailed elsewhere plenty of times. Value there comes from USDm growth first and foremost which is what we're focusing on instead of Terminal.
--------------------
"How will you revitalize the system to attract dApps used after this latest failure?"
>>>
By doing exactly what we told everyone we would do; getting back to non-scalable, heavy focus on key apps that will set Mega apart from the rest of the world and attracting net-new users from both inside and out of CT.

Real words from someone who has been passionate since day 1
He deserves answers
And honestly... we all deserve more clarity too
About the energy
About the funds
About the people who have been here since the beginning
I know changes are needed
But right now it feels rushed and poorly handled
Just my 2 cents
Unlike some, I'm among those extremely disappointed with Mega. I'd like a clear and straightforward response from the community. Simply saying the servers aren't good when activity was already very low before the terminal update isn't enough. Today, we were subjected to yet another change, and that's unprofessional.
You were supposed to distribute 2.5% of the Mega tokens . It would have been nice if you had at least distributed a reasonable amount for each point.
But the problem is that you've lost faith in your word by constantly backtracking on everything you do.
MegaETH is supposed to be a chain for apps, and now you're undermining some that were boosted by the campaign. It sends the wrong message, and saying it's due to inorganic activity without giving a real reason, just like the first buyback for example, isn't a good sign. Those who used the dApps earned points, and it was very simple and logical for Mega. Not implementing the exact same system was clever because it prevented everyone from doing quests or the same things. The boosts weren't perfect, and early users weren't rewarded for activity before Terminal, except for certain boosts. But what are you going to do for us? We, the users and supporters of even Terminal. The boosts were already weak, but now...
Seriously, @bread_ what are you going to do for the early birds? Those who were there since day one?
Why not just finish season 1 and stop the campaign as planned after two months? That would have made sense, but instead you're cutting everything off abruptly. It's truly incomprehensible, and you're hiding behind absolutely no facts. You're just proving your detractors right.
Provide stats before and during the campaign so we have a visual representation.
MOOS won't solve anything, and you're hiding behind it. We need fapps, consumer dapps, Morpho, and Pendle. Meanwhile, the terminal was perfect for keeping the community busy and encouraging experimentation.
You're making a laughingstock of the chain with your constant changes. You're attracting the FuD, which is understandable given all the changes, and you're alienating the real community and the actual users those who have been there since the beginning.
You're penalizing the community and genuine users. You're penalizing them and pushing them into debt to a point of no return if you don't find a way to reward them.
Why didn't you at least finish season 1? Why?whereas before Terminal there was practically no activity.
You'll never fix this. Every project needs a community. You've just disappointed many of them, notably by encouraging them to buy even more NFTs for boosts, only to have everything shut down.
As for one other thing, what about the whales who wanted to deposit USDM and earn huge points, only to have their deposits canceled? What are you going to do with their points, knowing that some of them haven't even used the chain, or hardly at all?
Give an AMA with a FAQ out of respect for the community. You're hiding behind Moos when we don't know when Moos will be ready.
Now @bread_ , @hotpot_dao , @joakimhi , you could at least answer these questions:
- What are your objections to the stats?
- What will be done with the remaining Mega to be distributed?
- How will you reward those who were there before Terminal?
- Do you really think that people who wanted to deposit USDM and received points without using the chain deserve them? They would receive USDM even though they contributed nothing? Some didn't even touch the chain and are in the top 100. That deserves a redistribution to those who actually used the chain.

You've managed to wear me down, even though I've always been a fan and a supporter.
I'm giving my opinion, and it might sound harsh, but it's the word of a supporter since day one.

After reviewing the Terminal data, we’ve decided to conclude the season early, and sunset our Terminal program.
The points distribution for Week 3 has gone out as normal and a snapshot has been taken of all user activity up to this point, which will be used in our final calculations. This decision did not come easy, but we believe this is what’s best to support our ecosystem.
Next week, we'll run a supplemental points distribution to thank all users who have been exploring and experimenting with the different apps throughout the program.
Eligible Terminal participants will receive a share of the rewards pool in USDM, based on the points accumulated to date as well as activity that supported Mega.
Early next week, we'll open a place on Terminal for one week so you can designate a wallet address to receive your rewards.
Terminal’s main features will be merged with Rabbithole, transitioning everything into one unified chain experience.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us this far. We can’t wait to show you what we have in store.
A note from Shuyao on what’s next:

A note from Shuyao on what’s next:
The existing financial system neither reflects the culture nor addresses the economic realities of this upcoming generation of financial participants.
Our team, composed of emerging market citizens and perma-online Gen Zers are here to build the financial operating system for the internet-native generation.
We’ve spent the past two years building MegaEVM, the fastest execution environment in the industry. The MegaEVM withstood a 11B tx stress test in mainnet production, averaging 40k TPS, while consistently charging lower fees than all others competitors.
Our technical milestones paved the way for a collaboration with @chainlink to begin building the first real-time oracle, providing unparalleled speed and security to the DeFi ecosystem.
The past two years has seen a notable and eventful ecosystem grow through MegaETH. Today, some of the most interesting new applications sit on Mega. The points program on Terminal has allowed crypto-native users to further explore the initial Mega Ecosystem, but we believe it has run its course.
We will be providing boosted USDm rewards to all eligible participants in the program. Moving forward, we will double down on sourcing and accelerating the best applications on MegaETH through personalized GTM, targeting users beyond crypto.
We are momentarily launching the MOSS SDK, a self-custody wallet that unifies liquidity between applications while maintaining top in class security through smart approvals.
These pieces lay the foundation for M(OS)S to become the financial OS built for users born to this generation.
Live Q3, MEGA blends finance and entertainment with primitives and risk preferences that have never been available to everyday users.
The MOSS SDK is uniquely positioned to solve the embedded wallet <> generalized wallet dilemma by giving best in class security guarantees to users across all apps while still maintaining one unified account.
MOSS SDK builds on the foundational work of Porto by Ithaca, providing a user-first mentality to product. We look forward to working with applications to integrate Moss and provide users with a solution to the crypto UX problem.
The legacy financial system merely adopted the internet, it was not born in it. M(OS)S is being built by people who understand the culture of internet-native users and how finance, entertainment, and identity are converging online.

MegaETH launched the incentives campaign, I’m holding megalio, miniminds and netizens
You’re lucky if you have at least 3 nfts from one collection. also if you provided liquidity on kumbaya and other protocols, you’ll get extra points
I have one question for @bread_ and @0xAlexjultz - where is @badlydrawnbarry, where are digit rabbits and @404bunnies?
these guys did a lot for the ecosystem and community, so I’m wondering was it intentional not to include them or did you just miss them?
