Honest question for @tomshatelOWH: When the McDermott situation happened, your column basically said ‘that stuff doesn’t happen here’ and that ‘plantation’ was an outlier...
So how come Omaha high schoolers keep doing blatantly racist things?
Where do they learn it from?

A few things Tom Osborne did:
1) Downplayed domestic violence to aid a star player
2) Hid a gun from cops for a player
3) Interviewed witnesses before police to try and game the process

Yesterday, the #Huskers women’s basketball team upset a top 25 team.
Neither of the Nebraska ‘columnists’ tweeted about it. Today, they both tweeted about a football game that had nothing to do with NU.
Don’t tell us it’s about women’s sports not being popular, it’s a lie.

Reminder after some of the bad tweets I've seen: Any benefits of a bowl game are not at all more important than the fact that the players have clearly been through a lot and may want to be with their families rather than playing another game
Or just do what Jason did and inject the guns with that sweet sweet juice and let nature run it’s course...
Yeah 1st things 1st...if ur “guns” can be broken off and used as toothpicks....just...don’t! I’m sure there’s a matching anklet that goes with that bracelet?Get 2 the gym and don’t try this again as long as ur still using the dumbbells that r stacked on the “pyramid” racks! #GBR
Most journalists are taught to not speculate on injuries. They’re also taught the difference between to/too/two, but then again there’s a reason the #Huskers fan base prefers ‘media talents’ to journalists.
Even with the state of the world, old man Sip is going to rage tweet about COVID.
Glad he’s the one type of person that Lee holds on to.
#420BlazeIt does seem to properly encapsulate how NU has approached 3-point shooting so far...
Nebraska 4-20 on 3s in 1st half.
They’re out putting up shots with 5 minutes left in the break. #Huskers
Interesting note about @coach_frost’s Twitter account: Whoever recently scrubbed who he is following removed the president, but kept the ghost of Herman Cain and Mountain Dew on the ‘Following’ list.
No commentary here, just actually kind of funny when you think about it...

I can't help but feel like a lot of the anger is misplaced here.
Maybe the league is being overly cautious, but when people are dying on a daily basis they're probably not.
Why are we mad that the league is following their protocols? You wanted transparency. You got it.

Dear Twitter:
We've had a #NewProfilePic before, but this time is so much different--we've got a new purpose.
#RealSkers is now the Twitch/Discord community for @CornFedSports.
It was only a matter of time before 'message board culture' evolved. We wanted to make it fun.
New profile pic, new attitude and new content coming this week.
It's a whole new era is #Huskers sports coverage, and it starts by going 'Around the Corn'...

Nebraska’s handling of Title IX issues has never been up to par but to see it as a top headline on ESPN is sobering. Changes need to be made, now.
