Knowing what to do in a cardiac arrest can make a lifesaving difference.
During Resus Annie on Tour, we've been speaking to members of the public about how confident they would feel stepping forward in an emergency.
If someone collapses and is unresponsive, call 999 immediately. The call handler will guide you through what to do, including how to assess for signs of life, perform CPR, and find the nearest defibrillator.

Having supported hundreds of community defibrillator installations and helped reinstate 1,000+ devices, it’s great to see @andyburnham championing better access too. My stance is that every defibrillator could save a life, but keeping them rescue-ready and building public confidence is just as vital! ❤️👏 facebook.com/100064499959532…

💚 Women are less likely than men to receive CPR after a cardiac arrest in public.
One reason? People worry about exposing a woman's chest.
🎥 Watch our Principal Lecturer in Resuscitation, Emily, explain why that should never stop someone from taking action.
