Holocaust trivialization. Vile antisemitic rhetoric. Demonization of Jews. Praise for terrorists. Fantasies about violence against Jews and Israelis. This is what you can expect from Susan Abulhawa, a bestselling novelist with a major publisher and a sizeable social media following. She uses her perceived credibility to spread explicit antisemitism at a time when antisemitic incidents worldwide are at record levels. Here's what you need to know: adl.org/resources/article/su…

ADL's @JGreenblattADL was back on @DonnyDeutsch’s On Brand podcast to talk about what’s changed in the last six months when it comes to antisemitism. Unfortunately, the alarm hasn’t subsided. We’re living through an epidemic of anti-Jewish hate, and its normalization is deeply alarming. Jonathan talked about ADL’s new #StateOfTheArts report and the quiet erasure of Jewish and Israeli artists and how antisemitism is spreading on platforms like TikTok and Wikipedia.

Two recent incidents in NYC highlight a troubling pattern of antizionist activists targeting businesses over their ties to Israel. Palestine Action, an international, U.S.-sanctioned group, claimed responsibility for vandalizing a Capital One branch on the Upper East Side. Days earlier, vandals destroyed OMNY readers in Brooklyn. The ADL Center on Extremism examines the incidents and broader trend: adl.org/resources/article/tw…

ADL and @TheAENetwork are deeply concerned about the programming and speakers scheduled for the @AmerStudiesAssn's 2026 Upcoming Annual Meeting, as it raises serious questions about its commitment to academic freedom and inclusion, particularly for Jewish and Zionist scholars. Sessions appear to portray Zionism as racist and dangerous, with little room for competing perspectives, risking sending a message that Jewish scholars are unwelcome. The conference also features a speaker who reportedly praised a perpetrator of a deadly terrorist attack against Israeli civilians and appeared alongside individuals associated with US-designated terrorist organizations. Jewish academics should not have to conceal their identities or beliefs to participate fully in academic life. An organization that champions inclusion and academic freedom must extend those principles to all its members. More in @jewishinsider: jewishinsider.com/2026/10/am…

.@SUNYRockland went from a D to an A grade on the ADL Campus Antisemitism Report Card, showing that change is possible. In @TimesofIsrael, ADL's @scottarichman shares four lessons from campuses that earned an A on our Report Card: lead vocally, enforce rules consistently, invest in Jewish life and build bridges.
What does it take for colleges to fight antisemitism? In @TimesofIsrael, Reg. We are horrified by the terrorist attack on St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Karak, Jordan, where gunmen opened fire on Christian mourners gathered for a funeral, killing and wounding many. We mourn the victims, pray for the recovery of the wounded, and stand with their families, with the Jordanian Christian community, with Christians around the world and with all Jordanians. No one should fear for their life while practicing their faith. Read the full statement from ADL’s Task Force on Middle East Minorities: adl.org/resources/press-rele…

Antisemitism is evolving, and combating it demands new strategies. In After Never Again, @JGreenblattADL explains how ADL is confronting antisemitism across social media, AI, and emerging tech. The new documentary by Charlie Spickler is coming to @PBS in December, via @NETA_Tweets.
Proud to be featured in After Never Again, a new documentary by Charlie Spickler exploring Jewish identity, community, belonging, and the rise of antisemitism.   We have to innovate to fight antisemitism. What worked in the past won’t necessarily work today, and likely won’t work tomorrow.   I share how ADL is confronting hate across social media, AI, and emerging tech. After Never Again is scheduled to air on PBS in December, via @neta-tweets.

A professor is charged with cyberstalking a colleague, with prosecutors alleging antisemitic threats and posting the family's address. The family reportedly left their home. Higher ed shouldn't wait for a verdict to ask what it owes Jewish students, faculty and staff. In his new op-ed, @ADLPhiladelphia's Andrew Goretsky calls on colleges to review what they teach and how they define belonging. insidehighered.com/opinion/v…

Malaysia’s reported exclusion of Israeli players from the @FIDE_chess World Amateur Championship is discriminatory and unacceptable. International sporting events must be open to all eligible participants, regardless of nationality. If Malaysia cannot guarantee equal access, FIDE should relocate the tournament. No politics. No double standards. Let them play. algemeiner.com/2026/10/21/is…

As @JGreenblattADL said, “We are living through an epidemic of anti-Jewish hate. That alarm has not subsided.” On @DonnyDeutsch’s On Brand podcast, Jonathan breaks down findings from ADL’s new State of the Arts report and how antisemitism is showing up in the arts and on digital platforms Americans use every single day like TikTok and Wikipedia.
What a privilege to be back on my friend @DonnyDeutsch's On Brand podcast to talk about antisemitism, extremism and the state of the world. We’re living in a volatile world and a global tsunami of anti-Jewish hate that requires every one of us to do our part. We talked in depth about @ADL's new #StateoftheArts report and the expulsion and erasure of Jewish and Israeli voices from arts and culture, about the capture of Wikipedia, and the need to address the emerging challenges on social media and online spaces

A Jewish early childhood educator, Jen Schiffer, spent a year preparing for a learning trip to Reggio Emilia. Then the trip was canceled amid protests, after Jewish educators were asked to sign a statement distancing themselves from Israel. No educator should have to defend their Jewish identity to learn. 1/ A 13-year-old in Bistrița, Romania allegedly stabbed a teacher and a classmate on Monday, reportedly posting about his plans on TikTok shortly before the attack. The incident bears hallmarks of memetic violence, a phenomenon the ADL Center on Extremism has been tracking in which individuals carry out attacks largely to gain attention and status in online communities that glorify mass killers, often imitating previous attackers. The violence itself becomes content, meant to be recorded, shared and celebrated. reuters.com/world/13-year-ol…

3/ This copycat behavior extends across countries. The Evergreen High School shooter in Colorado posed like Rupnow last year before his attack, while a school bomber in Jakarta also posted an "okay" hand sign photo. The ADL Center on Extremism has documented dozens of attacks tied to these online communities since 2024, and how these communities overlap with antisemitism and extremism. These spaces aren't limited to obscure corners of the internet. They also exist on mainstream platforms like TikTok, where violent imagery and glorification can reach young audiences. The @EdWorkforceCmte's report details how antisemitic content has been embedded in K-12 curricula, instructional materials and teacher training for years. Jewish students, faculty, and staff deserve to attend school without being targeted, marginalized or made to feel unwelcome because they are Jewish. We thank Chairman @RepWalberg for his dedication to protecting Jewish members of K-12 communities. This report shows why Congress must pass the Jewish American Security Act to strengthen federal protections for Jewish students on campus and in K-12 settings. edworkforce.house.gov/upload…
