Out-of-home (OOH) advertising just got a whole lot easier. Say goodbye to RFPs and slow-moving contracts. AdQuick Go is the first self-serve platform built specifically for enterprises and distributed teams to plan, book, and launch OOH effortlessly.
Factory VP @sonofalli says AI has marketing teams shipping code every day, but still can't write a funny tweet:
"We see a lot of slop copy on the timeline, and it’s one of my pet peeves. With all of my agents, I’ve trained them to not use LLM speech."
"I tested this with my tweets. Can AI be funny? Can it make a banger meme? And it’s really cringe. It’s really bad. So I think that kind of creativity will remain innately human."
"By the time I left Vercel, my whole marketing team was shipping PRs on a daily basis. It’s the same at Factory. Our head of finance just posted about how he uses it for the finance org, and he's one of the top users at the company."

AI generated content is quickly going to be understood to be an industrialized commodity rather than the fun new toy. Craft and human production is going to have more and more value. Made by hand is modern luxury (and always was).
Introducing “Drawing Prada”, the Prada Holiday 2026 campaign.
A Prada fantasy created by hand, an experiment in craft. A team of legendary animators creates a hand-drawn world of characters for Prada Ambassadors Chen Haoyu, Maya Hawke, Sadie Sink, and Kelvin Harrison Jr., together with Luther Ford.

I’ll be seeing all of you LA-based strats and ad nerds here tomorrow. If you’ve ever wanted to physically fight me for any of the opinions I’ve shared on this app, this is your best chance.
Elf on the Shelf (@elfontheshelf) began when twin sisters Christa Pitts and Chanda Bell, along with their mother, decided to turn their family's Christmas elf tradition into a book in 2004.
The mother-daughter team couldn't find anyone willing to publish their story, so they decided to do it themselves:
"You have a good idea, and that's all it will ever be. Or you're going to have to step out in faith and do something with it."
When getting started at local Christmas markets, their first hurdle was parents not understanding what they were selling.
They needed to explain what the toy actually was, which is a flying elf that ends up in a different spot in the house every morning from Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve.
To get parents and their young children to stop and listen, they started giving away blinking bracelets at their market booth, which was a successful early marketing tactic.
After getting the word out, their second hurdle came when they went to ask the banks for money. Like the book, they were rejected again.
And once again, they took matters into their own hands, pooling their money.
Then they had two big breaks in pop culture:
1. A paparazzi photo of Jennifer Garner holding one of their elves
2. A TODAY Show appearance
These both really boosted awareness and eventually led to a CBS animated special, a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon, and their own Netflix show.

The B2B version is cutting brand and upper-funnel spend because it doesn't show up in last-click, then watching branded search and win rates slowly erode. The hard part is that the damage shows up two quarters later.
This is @rorysutherland's “doorman problem”: a hotel fires the doorman to save $, oblivious to all the things he does beyond opening doors. They celebrate short term savings while the value he created making guests feel welcome, valued, and importantly eager to return is ignored

The McRib is coming back as early as 10/27 in select McDonald's restaurants across the US.
The legend says that the McRib first came to life to compensate for... a McNugget shortage issue! Apparently, McNuggets had become so wildly popular that our supply could not keep up with demand. So we needed a new recipe with another protein to give us a bit of time to bring in more McNuggets.
The McRib was created IN 1981 by René Arend, a Luxembourgish-American chef who became our very first executive "chef".
What was a temporary solve quickly became a cult classic, with fans begging for its return every year. Funny enough, over the years, the McRib has found new meaning online within the crypto community, as some claim Bitcoin tends to perform well after the McRib makes a comeback, particularly in 2017, 2020, 2021. The joke reached its peak in December 2024 when Bitcoin broke $100,000 for the first time in history on the exact same day the McRib returned to menus.
Welcome back, Legend!

I'm excited to launch Relational Capital, a $50m solo GP fund.
I spent the last 8 years as a founder, building @usekojo into the largest US construction procurement platform.
Now I'm backing founders at the earliest stages with $1m-$5m checks.
An abundant future lies ahead 🇺🇸

Happy 6 months to @MTSlive!
A quick recap, some thank yous, and two jobs below that you should apply for:
In our first 180 days, we've interviewed over 1,000 guests, grew to 600K followers, crossed an 8 figure run rate, covered dozens of conferences around the country, and moved production from a 160 sq. ft. conference room to a new 12k sq. ft. office (come see it before we need to move again!)
There's been tons of work behind the scenes going from 1 show to 3 (and maybe 4 or 5 by early next year?) that we're excited to launch soon.
I'm so grateful to build MTS alongside @liangsays. If you've ever met him, you'll understand that he is the definition of founder-market fit to build a massively successful media company.
A huge shoutout to our founding team and hosts @theojaffee @schisofrenia @sophiadew @netcapgirl @knowerofmarkets who left real jobs with 401ks to talk on X for 8 hours per day, post 75x/day, figure out how to operate cameras, and get yelled at by hundreds of internet strangers when our audio drops for 10 minutes (sorry, guys). The amount of talent + willpower this team has is unmatched in my career.
Thanks to all of the incredible guests and comms teams we've worked with. Reminder: [email protected] if you want to come on the shows.
And biiiiig thanks to our founding partners @databricks @ElevenLabs @vercel @chargebee @blitzyai @Lovable @AdQuick @MongoDB @Larridin @kong @fundrise @FactoryAI @arena
If you'd like to join the MTS team while it's still a fledgling little startup media company, there are two high priority roles this week:
1. Short-form X/Reels/IG clip editor (SF preferred, remote ok)
2. Markets Host (out of our new NY office)
DM me if either are interesting.
Thanks for following along (insert not reading all that meme/happy for you/sorry meme) and see you on the timeline
