Huge shift in Israel’s vote count. As Tel Aviv and other opposition strongholds finally report, Netanyahu’s bloc lead has shrunk from 8.9 to just 3.6 percentage points. In the latest batch of 624,000 votes, the opposition beat Netanyahu’s bloc by nearly 89,000 votes. Still only 49% counted. Blocs are now: 55 pro-Netanyahu, 50 anti-Netanyahu, 11 Joint List, 4 Ra'am

Hard to make much of any mandate projections right now while the sample of counted votes is so unrepresentative. It might start to make more sense once 40%+ are counted, though there will still be plenty of swings.

Likud’s lead over Eisenkot is shrinking relatively fast as votes are counted. After peaking at 11.4 percentage points, the gap has narrowed in four consecutive updates: 8.7 → 8.1 → 7.6 → 6.8. Likud is still ahead, but its lead has nearly halved since the early count. Source: votes26.bechirot.gov.il/nati…
