Another milestone in the future of supersonic aviation-NASA's X-59 Completes Historic First Transcontinental Journey to Florida! NASA's experimental X-59 quiet supersonic aircraft has completed its first cross-country journey, travelling from Edwards Air Force Base in California to Kennedy Space Center in Florida, with intermediate stops in El Paso, Fort Worth and Birmingham. The coast-to-coast journey comes as the aircraft celebrates its first anniversary of flight testing, having made its maiden flight on October 28, 2025. But the X-59's achievements go far beyond covering the distance. 🚀 A year of impressive flight-test progress: - More than 40 additional test flights completed. Maximum demonstrated speed of Mach 1.53 (approximately 1,010 mph). - Maximum altitude exceeding 56,000 feet. Progress towards the next major phase: acoustic validation. - Developed by Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works for NASA's Quesst mission, the X-59 is designed to demonstrate that supersonic flight over land can be significantly quieter. Rather than producing the traditional disruptive sonic boom, its innovative aerodynamic design aims to deliver a much quieter sonic 'thump'. The ultimate objective? Gather scientific data and public feedback that could help pave the way for a new generation of commercial supersonic aircraft capable of flying faster than sound over land. The future of faster, quieter air travel is taking shape! #NASA #X59 #Quesst #SupersonicFlight #Aviation #Aerospace #FutureOfFlight #AviationTechnology

Terminal 2 at Rabat-Salé Airport RBA), Morocco, exclusively used by @Ryanair, provides what is easily the worst and most dismal airport experience I can remember. The place is little more than a little shed with hundreds crammed inside

Ironically, there is a state-of-the-art new terminal just adjacent, which remains unused (although theoretically it’s been completed already) - T2 in the meantime is borderline unsuitable for any self-respecting airlime operation

As part of evidence collection for the formal claim I am preparing against @Centauro_es I had a look at the user reviews on @bookingcom and it looks what happened to me was not an isolated incident and plsying tricks with damage claims and insurance is a regular occurrence
I advise anyone against renting a car with Centauro Rent a Car (@Centauro_es) - trying to charge me inexistent damages worth nearly €1k and not even bothering to get in touch - fortunately I have photo & video to prove my case. Shady is an understatement. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

My take: Boeing finally has a CEO that told Wall Street what they needed to hear and not what they wanted to hear. Wall Street wants 737 MAX and 787 production increased yesterday. CEO Kelly Ortberg is taking a slow and conservative approach to rate hikes. I think this is correct move in the long run. Boeing’s failures of the past were caused by taking shortcuts, ramping up already unstable production lines, and worrying about next year’s free cash flow. Boeing stock was down 10.7% today but I view today’s earnings report + call as further evidence that this is a new Boeing. A Boeing that is determined to not make the same mistakes as its past.
Boeing got the kitchen sink today and people don't see that.

The more I interact with this company, the more outrageous it becomes - it’s going to get a place of honour at an upcoming Travel List of Shame post - reiterating my warning to anyone considering renting a car with @centauro_es!

Range limit is a big issue. Transcon needs 3,000. Average US flight range is ~1200. A321neo’s range flexibility is a key advantage. So for US domestic use, MAX 10 is good. Same for what Ryanair needs. But limits are real. This simply reinforces that Boeing needs something new.
The Boeing 737 MAX 10 could be a cash cow for low-cost carriers and transcontinental airlines operating consistently full, high-demand routes. Capable of carrying up to 230 passengers, it’s built for high-density domestic and transcon flying, where additional seats can boost revenue and improve per-seat economics. For some of these routes, airlines will have to choose between a B737 MAX 10 and a B787-8. Its official maximum design range is 3,100 nautical miles with an auxiliary fuel tank, while real-world range can fall to around 2,500–3,000 NM depending on passenger load and configuration. Boeing even says 365 NM more range than competing aircraft without auxiliary fuel tanks. I think for airlines with the right routes, the B737 MAX 10 will be a money-maker.
