Raskin: "When historians look back on this miserable period of our history, they might say that the first problem was disregarding all those women who told us back in 2016 that they had been sexually harassed or assaulted by Donald Trump. But he got elected even after he was adjudicated civilly responsible for sexually attacking E Jean Carroll"

NEW: The NCAA tells us ZERO trans student-athletes are now competing in women's sports.
Why does 15% of America think there are tens of THOUSANDS?

Obama: 'Drain the swamp' -- the only thing they drained is the Reflecting Pool because some no bid contract got it all messed up. And then they tried to blame it on this 3 time Olympian! You remember that? Said he vandalized it!"
My husband @NealFAllen’s uncle invented dog collars.
Trump: "My uncle invented radar! Can you believe it?"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Donald Trump's uncle did not invent radar. The "first practical radar system" was patented by Sir Robert Watson-Watt, who built on the work of others such as Heinrich Hertz and Christian Huelsmeyer.

Taking a break from regularly scheduled programming to speak on the heaviness of this last week after the Silver Rail Elementary shooting. A message from me and my wife Emily:
Our hearts have been heavy beyond words this week. Our family has direct ties to Silver Rail and spends a significant amount of time in Bend every year. We in the Annunciation family have been afforded immense support and resources, and we ask that you consider sharing that generosity with Silver Rail. My wife Emily will be posting in the comments the local fundraisers that we are aware of.
As parents who were running into our children’s school when a shooting took place, we will also make a plug here to know of and contribute to the work of Sandy Hook Promise. They have developed methods that have actively prevented shootings: sandyhookpromise.org/
And as we say, when you pray move your feet.
With immense love for our family and friends in the Silver Line community and Bend,
Aaron and Emily
Wanted to and expected to but didn’t love the Elizabeth Holmes documentary. Everything about it was so ugly, all the people except the mom, dad, and little ones. Couldn’t stand listening to Fiedler and Holmes’s husband for three hours. (Loved Carreyou book Bad Blood.) So sue me.

A hack of a secretary of defense dropping and breaking Ike's globe, as the administration breaks the world order, is one of those things an editor would cut for being too on the nose.

That could be bad news for Dems in a year when the Senate is decided by red states. If polling errors follow the average historic trend, Democrats' leads in Texas and Alaska could be wiped out while Iowa and Kansas move firmly into the Republican column economist.com/graphic-detail…
