Computer built a webcam app that turns 16 hand gestures into emojis. The demo’s Decisions API cost was about 1/15 of a cent.
Try it: detect-emojis.pplx.app
Perplexity Decisions scores selected frames against written gesture definitions. When local recognition is uncertain, the app can use those probabilities to choose an emoji, accepting only results that pass its confidence checks.
Computer can build animated websites with WebGL shaders and scroll animations using @viktoroddy’s MotionSites skill.
The skill draws on 40 reference blueprints and 52 hosted video and cutout assets. Available now in Computer for all users on the web.
Computer rebuilt Elon Musk's 2013 SpaceX 3D visualizer app.
From the YouTube video alone, Computer built a 7,677-segment Three.js wireframe of SpaceX's Merlin 1D engine, and you turn it with bare hands through a webcam.

How Computer made it:
Computer wired a 21-landmark MediaPipe hand tracker through a One-Euro filter with open-palm clutch hysteresis, so an open hand grabs the engine and a fist lets go without drift.
Open-hand deltas drive damped quaternion kinematics: one hand orbits, two hands roll and zoom, and a flick free-spins it until you catch it.
Computer used Ultra effort mode.
Computer now supports Agent Plugins, packaging app connections and skills to get work done.
Browse plugins or bring your own by importing from GitHub or a .zip file, compatible across other agents.

Agent Plugins is an open, vendor-neutral standard with maintainers from Amazon, Cursor, GitHub, OpenAI, and Vercel.
Plugins are live in Computer and rolling out to Enterprise.

Computer built a playable 3D version of Hnefatafl, the Norse strategy game, in Standard effort mode.
An AI opponent powered by Perplexity’s Decisions API shows its planned moves and the probabilities it assigns to each choice.
Computer built a 2:36 underwater horror film rendered entirely in ASCII characters.
Computer created this film on High effort mode, using a shader to turn each cell of a 3D ocean scene into type, with sparse punctuation in the dark and dense letters in the light, redrawn and recolored every frame. Even the cracks in the submarine window are characters.
Computer built an interactive globe of Earth's 4.5 billion years from 14 open datasets, with its own engine moving 258 plates across 109 paleo-elevation maps.
Drag the timeline, or type a city to see where it sat 400 million years ago.

Computer made a 5:51 explainer on how lab diamonds are made.
It explores the science and economics of lab-grown diamonds, from high-pressure presses and plasma reactors to color correction, collapsing prices, and the tests that distinguish them from mined stones.
Computer built an unofficial GTA VI map pairing Leonida landmarks with Florida locations identified by fans. Compare both maps side by side, then explore an approximation of Leonida in 3D.

Computer built Pathways, a corridor tiled floor to ceiling with 821 images across 40 subjects from open collections including NASA and the Met.
Click any moving tile to read what it is, who made it and when, with a link to its source record.

Computer turned a shoulder MRI report into an interactive 3D explainer a patient can read.
From one anonymized radiology report, it placed all nine findings on a skeletal model, with six X-ray projections and a plain-language explanation of each.
Computer's Mac and Windows apps now work in your own Chrome. The new Perplexity extension links the two, so Computer uses sites you're already signed into.
Here, it turns a business's reviews into a prioritized list of fixes and replies.
