Meta's new open model wants two Mac Studios. NVIDIA just shipped a 4B one where the Q5 file is 3.7 GB.
The trick is it runs the same 20 middle layers again instead of adding parameters. One loop scores 50.3 on SWE-bench Verified, two loops 59.5, four loops 61.8. Qwen3.5-9B sits at 61.
That's NVIDIA's own harness on BF16 weights, so I'll believe it after outside evals. Meanwhile my 512 GB Mac Studio is about to run the smallest model it has ever seen.
