Eric is absolutely right on this! Donald Trump has a history of illegally blocking representatives from being sworn in and taking their seats. We have to be ready for this possibility since @MikeJohnson has blocked seating reps before. I’ll breathe easier once they are seated.

I feel like most people have forgotten just how corrupt and evil Donald Trump truly is, and more specifically what Project 2025 was doing behind the scenes to ensure he held power for life by copying tactics that worked for both Hitler and Putin. Trump does have one things he’s good at and that is distracting people away from his old crimes by always committing new ones so frequently it floods the zone (news) and keeps people confused and off balance.
Thankfully the congress and senate will finally be able to do their elected jobs once again for the first time in 2 years when the new reps take their seats in January flipping the majority preventing Mike Johnson from continuing to shutdown the house for weeks at a time to prevent votes on anything that doesn’t personally benefit Trump.
I’m sure @MikeJohnson is going to try and leave Congress to avoid investigations into his corruption but thankfully since the Congress is active again we will be able to subpoena him and drag him back in to answer for what he did.
We’re finally going to see the other half of the Epstein files that Trump has literally spent billions of our tax dollars trying to keep hidden. I am sure @Kash_Patel is going to try and destroy evidence but thankfully there are several backups he doesn’t know about that will help prove what he did when the time comes. Elon Musk even keeps one of the backups he downloaded while running the corrupt DOGE initiative that granted him unrestricted and unsupervised access to all private FBI servers and data which people seem to have forgotten about already.
This is how Elon Musk knew Trump was in the Epstein files before anyone else did and why Trump threatened to deport Musk minutes after he posted it forcing him to delete the post since he knew Trump could ignore all laws and do it. Elon is keeping that copy among many other things he shouldn’t have for a rainy day when he needs to cut a deal which is coming sooner than he thinks.
The next 2 years are going to be wild. I just hope democrats truly capitalize on this massive opportunity to use their power to set things right.
We need to appoint more justices with clean non-partisan records to the Supreme Court that can nullify Trumps corrupt majority that refuses to recuse themselves when ruling for Trump despite clearly needing his pardon and protection given their past illegal transgressions.
We need to end the filibuster if the Republicans decide to try and abuse it to block forward progress and waste US tax payer dollars. This has been an unwritten rule for a long time but Republicans already broke several other unwritten rules when they had the chance and it benefitted them. Everything from packing the court to preventing reps from taking their seats they lawfully won so they couldn’t represent their people just because they would have been a deciding vote on Epstein files release.
The MAGA’s even threatened to kill the filibuster themselves if democrats used it. It’s clear MAGA won’t ever keep its word so it’s time to do what is right for American taxpayers instead of allowing huge waste of resources to slow justice and progress. It’s time to stop trusting MAGA after they have lied and cried wolf so many times and just let them bitch and moan while we do what needs to be done for the people and to preserve our democracy and protect it from other future Trumps, Putin’s and Hitler’s when they eventually try again.
