Our most advanced training programme, the Immediate Care Course (ICC), is underway this week in Essex.
Covering adult and paediatric pre-hospital emergency care, as well as the Pre-Hospital Emergency Anaesthesia (PHEA) Assist role, the ICC is an immersive, highly practical course designed to prepare clinicians for the realities of working in challenging pre-hospital environments.
This week, amongst other things, delegates have been taking part in realistic road traffic collision (RTC) scenarios alongside local fire crews, putting their skills to the test in true-to-life situations. Thank you to Essex County Fire and Rescue Service for taking part in these joint learning exercises.
Take a look at some of the behind-the-scenes photos captured by our volunteer casualties.

Bookings are now open for the May 2027 ICC, along with a range of 2027 dates for:

A huge thank you to the @HelipadHELP for their continued generosity and commitment to supporting BASICS and our schemes across the UK. π This year they have hit the incredible milestone of having donated Β£2 million.
Funding like this enables volunteer clinicians to respond with the equipment, vehicles and resources needed to provide life-saving pre-hospital care when and where it is needed most. It helps us reach patients faster, deliver critical interventions, and ultimately save lives in our communities. π
We're incredibly grateful to be part of a partnership that continues to strengthen emergency care nationwide. π
