Poetry and deep wisdom
.@JamesTalarico: We didn’t win by alienating our neighbors, or by shaming our neighbors, or by ridiculing our neighbors. We embodied a new kind of politics. A politics rooted in a deep love — for our state, for our country, and for all of our neighbors. My faith teaches me that love is the strongest force in the universe. Love is not passive. Love is not neutral. Love is not weak. Love requires that we stand between the bullies and the bullied. Love requires that we look evil in the eye and not blink. Love can heal what’s broken in America.

Nothing to see here. Just a Hezbollah plan to abduct Ministers serving in the current Lebanese Government. (Translation in ALT text)

Lebanon's official records have the last laugh in the age of AI Cyber danger
With cyberattacks increasingly disrupting operations across Europe, I guess Lebanon’s public institutions have one thing less to worry about. Turns out keeping records in handwritten ledgers, relying on paperwork and delaying digitization reforms might actually be paying off for us. 🤔

A classic Lebanon Lose-Lose situation
Two potential scenarios for Lebanon after 🇺🇸 elections: 1- Full resumption of war with Iran. Potential violent destruction and chaos in 🇱🇧 but possibility of decapitation of Iran regime 2- Peace process that leads to grand bargain with Iran that keeps Lebanon stable but Hezbollah strengthened Which scenario do you prefer? (Poll in next tweet)

SNL “A record number of people voted in Israel’s election, which is great to see. Regardless if you’re on the right side, the left side, or the geno-cide.”

I feel like these leaks are just meant to deter Hezbollah from getting involved. Because you can’t just “occupy” 3 hostile major urban centers without huge bloodshed and destruction.
According to Maariv, the IDF intends to capture and occupy Tyre, Sidon, and Nabataea in the event that Hezbollah tries to challenge the IDF. Israel is preparing to provide particularly heavy firepower if Hezbollah gets involved. The Israeli navy is preparing to impose a naval blockade on the port of Beirut and the port of Tripoli in the north of the country.

Also a naval blockade means they’d almost definitely bomb the Beirut airport runway.

This is… something
Télé Liban, Lebanon’s public broadcaster, announced the addition of a new AI reporter, “Talia,” to its team as part of its ‘modernization strategy and digital transformation efforts.’ teapawt.net/telelibantv/status/211…

Hezbollah when 🇮🇱 occupies Lebanon: We will only disarm when the occupation ends Hezbollah when 🇮🇱 ends the occupation: They fled because of our weapons. If we disarm they will come back. Conclusion: Hezbollah’s weapons are not the means. They’re the end.

Now here’s the flip side of that coin: Israel when Hezbollah is strong: We need to occupy Lebanon to defeat Hezbollah Israel when Hezbollah is weak: We need to occupy Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah from regaining strength Conclusion: The occupation is the end, not the mean

Auto translated posts in Hebrew that surface on my timeline are a marvel of technology. I’ve never experienced an Israeli election like this before and it’s quite compelling and eye opening.

Plenty of people are dunking on this, but I haven't read anything about what's the idea behind it, what's the concept? what does it symbolize? I would love a video of the artist describing the idea behind it. Only then I'll allow myself to judge
