As someone who was part of the GC scene for a while, it’s very interesting to hear how many players refuse offers that would be better for them in order to stay within their own wall of comfort or friend groups. There’s so much potential for the scene and endless possibilities of rosters and players that would mesh well or be able to put themselves on the map yet they constantly deny themselves opportunities. At this point it’s like community is collapsing inwards and stuck in a cycle of mediocrity and it’s pretty disappointing to see with how much talent there is. Take more risk, encourage your friends to take opportunities that push them out of their comfort so the scene keeps growing & thriving.
