This morning at 8am hours after the storm passed a tree fell damaging a home on Planchet Rd. Luckily the two occupants inside were not injured. A gas leak occurred from the damaged lines and the gas service was turned off.

We responded to Blackwater Conservation area this morning just before 7am. Reportedly two people were swimming in a pond when one began to struggle and was pulled to the island. We placed a boat in the pond to rescue an unresponsive individual on the island bank.

While you were going to bed just before 9:30 PM. CFD was responding to a structure fire in the 6500 block of Morgan Road. When the first engine arrived, they found a large shop behind a residence on fire.
East Baton Rouge Parish Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene to standby. Central Police Department blocked the road for our hose lay from the fire hydrant. Thanks to Zachary Fire Department and District Six Fire Department for covering empty Central stations.
