If you missed my Friday conversation with elite journalist and broadcaster @ESPNMcGee, here it is. Always great stuff from Ryan including a breakdown on how he creates his remarkable features and… the #Bottom10. #TheCGP podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

Anyone who still believes the Bears got “fleeced” in the Jeffery Simmons deal, just watch the tape of this game. #DaBears

That was a hell of an answer by the Bears! #DaBears

#TheCGP My guest: Derek Carr (@derekcarrqb) 5:15 pm. On Thursday Derek will be inducted into the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame. Very well-deserved. We’ll discuss that, (volunteer) coaching at UCLA, and a bit more. Excited to have Derek back on with me. Program begins at 5:00 pm PT.

Really appreciate this on Apple Podcasts. And all of us who work on the program (yours truly, and elite producers Josh Weakley and @NeighborGabe) are grateful for how well received #TheCGP on Fridays has been. THANK YOU!

Quite a weekend incoming… No. 1 Miami at No. 4 Notre Dame No. 7 BYU at No. 3 Utah No. 2 Georgia at No. 12 Ole Miss No. 8 Kentucky at No. 16 Tennessee No. 9 Alabama at No. 15 LSU No. 10 Texas at No. 19 Missouri Whatever the first CFP poll turns out to be, these games will, or may, shake things up.

Hard to figure Riley and USC. Sometimes they seem a good fit, other times not so much. And with the team across town having a fantastic season under a first-year very likable coach, pressure manifests in many ways.

Watched this in real time Saturday. Incredible. Would have loved to hear the great Keith Jackson calling this play.

So I get a message very late last night - younger daughter Cadence was at a Halloween party, a boy “was limp and not breathing and no one was calling 911 so I did.” She did CPR on him, got him breathing and the ambulance arrived. Thankfully he’s gonna be ok. Beyond proud of Cadence. She’s always been someone with remarkable awareness and composure. Helping to save someone’s life at 19 is quite a thing.

Favorite Trick or Treater of the night, a boy about 16. Comes to the door late in the night and sees me in a Tennessee Vols quarter zip and hat… Teen: Bruh…. Tennessee? Come on. It’s Ohio State bruh. Me: You’re an Ohio State fan, bruh? You know Ohio State got beat by USC tonight, right? Teen: ……………Nah. Didn’t happen. Me: Check your phone. He did as he walked down the sidewalk. Then “NO!!” 😎🤷🏻‍♂️

Final Oregon State 22 Fresno State 38 Beavers came in on a roll knowing a CFP playoff berth was still in play for them. Then the game started, and the Dogs just stuck it to them. Best game, both sides of the ball, the Dogs have played all year. Admittedly, I did not see this kind of performance coming from Fresno State as they move to 5-3 (2-2). Next up, a trip to Logan and Utah State.

Of course Boise State comes right back to take the lead with their backup QB flinging it like he’s QB1. Boise now up 46-45, 2:40 left. Most entertaining 4th quarter I’ve seen all year.

Boom, 72-yard TD pass and Texas State now back in front 45-40. 3:47 left in the 4th. We got ourselves a video game on The Blue.

And now after an INT, Boise retakes the lead 40-39, 4:14 left. I don’t recall many games like this up in Boise… if any. Not recently anyway.

Texas State Pick 6 and now up 39-28 on Boise State, under 9 minutes to play. If you’re scoring at home, that’s 36 consecutive points for Texas State.
