At this point in my career, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be coaching with a team. But right now I'm at Aurora Christian (7-1) in Aurora Illinois. I blessed to be part of a very talented group of coaches. Knowledgeable men. Hard nose football men. TRUE men of FAITH. They are Coaches that don't need to curse their way thru a practice to get their point across. Sometimes when coaches volunteer to help a program, whether it's youth or high school, they take it as a free pass to do and say whatever they want. The few coaches who are abusing the position should be the first ones told to leave, because your program isn't going to tolerate any form of abuse. PERIOD. Coaching kids hard or asking a kid what he doesn't quite understand, is fine. But asking him if he's an f'in r'tard, isn't. PERIOD. Yes, that's out there. EVERYDAY. As parents you can and should demand better for your child. Years ago I did just that for one of my son's teams. Maybe if you act with courage today, your kid will for a lifetime! 😉

"Wear It Proud"
Every great team has that one. You know..
That guy or gal who walks in and the whole room gets brighter.
They bring a different energy to meetings, practices, and games.
Real Passion isn’t a mood we turn on and off.
It’s tattooed to our souls.
We live it every day.
We got this!

Football rewards Qb's who invest in film study to understand what they’re looking at, and who trust their physical training when it’s time to pull the trigger.
Take the easy throw.
Take the smart throw.
Take the throw your opponent s hope you won't.
Read it. Trust it. Rip it.

"Lead From The Middle"
QBs
Stop yelling at your receivers on the field.
Meet them on their way back to the huddle. Pull them aside at the water break.
Talk after the drive.
Tell them what you saw.
Talk with them, not at them.
Don’t call them out in front of teammates, coaches, and fans. Teammates hear you better when they feel respected. Think about how it feels when coach calls you out.
Same message.
New way to lead.
An effective way.
We got this!
