Wizard Magic 🪄 is why I do who, what, when, where, why, and how I do what I do.
And no.

Hey DUBBY! 🤘
Hope ya don’t mind, but since my following has only recently grown by one ☝️, I’m going to step up here.
Your issue is with your attitude. That’s why Dub Dude is telling ya.
If you don’t think people are responding to your posts or however you attempt advertising, then hold up a mirror and ask yourself, “Why am I so angry?”
I think the answer may become clear.
Anyhoo, please don’t follow me. I’ll probably just be forced to block ya.

📰 JUST IN: AI, CRYPTO & THE PRICE OF EYEBALLS
😵 Hey 👋
Welcome back to The Daily Chronicle, where today’s front page comes with a little Ai, a little crypto, and a question every creator and business owner eventually has to ask:
“How the heck do I get somebody to look over here?” 👀
Google announced new Gemini tools designed to help small businesses work with their brand materials and create marketing visuals. Upload your website, colors, fonts, or brand kit and give the Ai a little context about who you are.
That’s another tool for the person trying to run a business, make the ads, answer the messages, and remember where they put their phone. 🤭
Google’s announcement:
blog.google/innovation-and-a…
Meanwhile, Meta announced stock offerings to support its Ai infrastructure investment. And in its latest quarterly results, the company reported that ad impressions across its apps were up 10% from a year earlier, while the average price per ad was up 14%.
That tells us something about the size of the advertising ocean. It doesn’t guarantee that YOUR pebble will make a splash.
Meta’s announcement:

Meta’s results:
investor.atmeta.com/investor…
Then there’s the crypto side. The OCC issued a final rule under the GENIUS Act for payment stablecoin issuers under its jurisdiction. The law restricts covered issuers from paying yield solely for holding, using, or retaining a payment stablecoin. Other rewards arrangements depend on their details.
Read the rule:
govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2…
🌶️ NOW FOR THE SPICY PART:
A bank can offer a toaster. A business can offer a discount. A crypto project can offer a token.
Those incentives might get someone to take a look. Whether they stay depends on what they find when they get there.
Zo, before we celebrate a thousand new eyeballs, maybe we should ask:
Did the right people find us?
Did they get something useful?
Did they come back?
And did the reward cost more than the business made? 😳
Ai can help us create. Incentives can help us introduce ourselves. But trust still takes time, and profit still requires a little math.
I’ve been saying for years that marketing on the web is like chucking pebbles at the ocean.
Well, today we’ve got some new pebbles. Let’s see what kind of ripples we can make. 🪨🌊

📰 JUST OUT: PEBBLES IN AN OCEAN OF EYEBALLS
😵 Hey 👋
Years ago, I made a meme that said:
“Marketing on the web is like chucking pebbles at the ocean!” {@WoodwayWizard}
And Zo, here we are in 2026, standing on the same beach.
Only now some of the pebbles have Ai assistants, crypto wallets, and marketing budgets attached to them. 🤭
The ocean? Still pretty dang big.
🗞️ THE NEWS:
Google announced new Gemini tools for small businesses on October 20. Owners can use their website, brand kit, fonts, and colors to help create marketing materials, with connections to business tools.
That could give a small operation another set of hands when there isn’t a whole marketing department down the hall.
Google’s announcement:
blog.google/innovation-and-a…
Meanwhile, on October 26, Meta announced stock offerings to support continued investment in Ai infrastructure. In its latest quarterly results, Meta reported that ad impressions across its family of apps rose 10% from a year earlier, while the average price per ad rose 14%.
That’s a LOT of eyeballs. And a LOT of businesses trying to get in front of them.
Meta’s announcement:
investor.atmeta.com/investor…
Meta’s results:
investor.atmeta.com/investor…
Then there’s crypto. Last week, the OCC issued a final rule under the GENIUS Act. The law prohibits covered stablecoin issuers from paying interest or yield solely for holding, using, or retaining their payment stablecoin. Other rewards arrangements depend on their particular facts, and the OCC did not give all existing rewards programs a free pass.
The actual rule:

🧠 MY READ:
Once upon a time, a bank might offer you a toaster for opening an account.
Today, somebody might offer points, a discount, a referral bonus, or a crypto reward.
The wrapping changes. The question stays:
“Can I give you a reason to pay attention to what I’m offering?”
And there’s nothing automatically wrong with that. People have businesses to build and bills to pay.
But a reward can get somebody through the door without giving them a reason to come back. And if the cost of that reward is bigger than the value of the relationship, congratulations: you bought a very expensive “hello world”. 😂
Ai can help a small creator make more pebbles. Crypto can offer another way to design an incentive. Big platforms can rent you a little space in front of their eyeballs.
None of those guarantees trust, loyalty, or profit.
The question I’m asking is: What happens AFTER the splash?
Does somebody find something useful? Do they enjoy the experience? Do they come back because they want to? And can the person making it afford to keep doing it?
That’s where the experiment gets interesting.
Because somewhere out there in that big ol’ ocean is another human being who might actually appreciate what you’re making.
You still gotta throw the pebble. 🪨🌊

Zo, after I made this post, I was hungry and wanted to purposely use my $15 X Money in a funny way.
Well at 2330 in Waco, Texas our food choices become limited.
Then I thought about @wingstop.
And sometimes 42?
Is just another number.
More later on that.
I need to talk to Charlie about it all first.

When developers develop their own apps, they are under pressure from their clients, bosses, or maybe even whatever style is trending in their moment.
When designing something from nothing, that is the hardest task in this computer industry:
Seeing what your customers think they see or desire or want. And then building daT.
You understand the need. That’s why you chose this field.
You understand the importance of the technical aspect and how to implement that stack.
But the real talent?
Is buried in the VERY few that can put all this web magic together and create something useful from nothing.
Cuz if ain’t food, water, shelter, and a livable planet?
None of this digital dookie matters.

Hey 👋
I needed help.
Frank said, “Yes!”
I trained Frank.
I ran out of funding.
Frank went on vacation.
I pivoted. Again.
Now Frank promises to promote @WZJXVARadio & @WacoPlace & CarHaulerConnect.com whenever it’s ready.
Meet Frank aka @kayonfire_.
The better Ad Man than me Mad Man!
🧍🏿♂️ 🧙♂️🪄
Okay, I'm back...Vacation is officially over!
@CodedJasonShow said "Vacay is over Frank" 😆
.
So we're back to building and I'm hyped for carhauler! ✨
.
Carhaulerconnect.com is currently under construction 🚧

More details soon in next post 💥

When it comes to marketing on the web, sometimes the pebble hits.
These Ad Men have a whole bag of pebbles.
And that’s how they hooked me!
Check out how I chose to affiliate myself with themselves. Waco.Market
And I got rewarded for that.
😉🫶
Zo, GenX Ancient spitting truth by saying “
😵 Hey now! I resemble both these posts!
What do I sell?
Nonsense!
On several different subscription levels! 😜
But I think y’all are touching on something worth talking about.
Businesses have been offering incentives since the Ancient Times. Heck, banks used to give you a toaster for opening an account.
“Congratulations on your new checking account! Now go make breakfast.” 🍞😂
Today the toaster might be a discount, some credits, a token, or an affiliate commission.
And I don’t think getting something for promoting a product automatically means someone doesn’t believe in it. Kenneth makes a good point there. Creators deserve to be paid for their work, too.
For me, the part that gets sideways is when a promotion is dressed up as an “organic discovery” and nobody mentions the toaster.
Just tell me there’s a toaster! I can decide for myself whether I like the bread. 😆
That’s how I’m thinking about my own marketing, too. On WacoPlace.Com, the working idea is that shoppers can use it free, and businesses can get listed free. Paid levels give businesses the ability to post more content.
The model may evolve, but I want folks to know what they’re getting and why.
Truth. Transparency. Human authenticity with a little Ai creativity mixed in.
Zo yes, marketing is hard.
But being a Mad Man Ad Man?
Only a Jason could do that. 😉
And I always tell the truth about my nonsense.
