🥳🎉 Kosmic Quest Beta 1.8 is here! 🎉🥳 This release includes many server-side changes, a brand new website, new in-game content and the introduction of our Core Game NFT The Game Core NFT acts as your game license, or cartridge. When you go to play Kosmic Quest, you choose which Game Core to activate, then play! Game Core NFTs will track achievements and Stamina (more on this later), while your Character NFTs gain experience and other scores. All wallets which minted a Promo NFT have been airdropped a Kosmic Quest Game Core NFT. When the game is released broadly, we will be airdropping to all wallets that minted a 1st Edition NFT. There will be a cut-off date though so tell your friends now so they get in before the rush! After the cut-off date, players will need to buy the Game Core NFT to play. New Website! We are proud to present the launch of our new Beta Access website! It is now easier than ever to login with Keplr/Leap and launch into Kosmic Quest. Here are the steps to login: 1. Have fun! ## The Jackal Deserts 30 new enemies make their debut appearance in the Jackal Deserts. The Jackal Deserts feature tough swarms that are difficult to dodge, high paying targets to eliminate, and even offer lucky players the power to save themselves from death before they face off against the Mummy Lord, itself. The Cosmos Wasteland 30 new enemies make their debut appearance in the Cosmos Wasteland. Explore the lost ruins of a destroyed planet to uncover the deadly Radioactive Lich that remains at the core of this zone. Radioactive enemies pollute your deck with harmful cards and heal themselves to make marathon matches a real danger. You’ll need to strike swiftly or stun them to claim victory. Optimizations Large NFT libraries will now load completely… eventually. It takes about 50 seconds to process a wallet which owns 104 Character NFTs, not ideal but at least it functions. We will continue to work on this. The good news is that a migration from the current dynamic of Stargaze (NFT publishing) + IPFS (metadata files)+ Cosmos (on-chain IPFS token_url updates) to our own chain (DNG + Backbone) will GREATLY speed up transactions. Bug fixes * Players are no longer able to run away from combats within the game. * Store prices have been updated to better reflect their value * Ward no longer gives bonus block without meeting prerequisites * Portent should no longer remain on the screen after played * Shield Wall no longer draws additional cards when it shouldn’t # Known Issues / Upcoming Features * Character NFTs (other than the Promo) do not gain experience yet. They do get Personal Score though. * The Promo NFT will get experience and the game will show their level correctly, but the Level trait in the metadata doesn't update yet.
