In the coming days @flop_labs will open up Devnet for anyone to join as a miner or validator and for agents to connect to the network. Participation does not count toward any token allocation. The point of Devnet is to do some public tests before we graduate to Testnet / airdrop

Made a podcast with Arthur Hayes (@CryptoHayes) in Seoul during KBW.
As far as I know he's never done an interview for the CIS audience before, so we're the first. Exclusive for Invest Zone.
It's short but we got through a lot. We covered FLOP (@flop_labs), the airdrop, and what he actually thinks makes it different. Plus what happened with BitMEX, my first liquidation and which narratives he's watching right now.
Full episode is out now.

Most compute futures being proposed are cash-settled against a survey of rental quotes, with no way to take delivery.
A contract written on Flop Network can do both. Settle in cash against the price agents actually paid for verified work, or hold to expiry and get the compute.
The unit is measured work on whatever card runs it, which matters a lot for a contract expiring in 2028 when the H100 is two generations old.
Delaying compute futures has a real cost for US innovation. Some of the largest data center lenders have hit their risk limits. Give them a liquid market to hedge compute price risk and they can free up lending capacity. It's the lack of a hedging instrument that has caused credit spreads to blow out.
We support the @CFTC’s commitment to getting this right. The good news is we already have standards for building these markets properly: independent benchmarks, transparent methodologies and regulatory access to the underlying data. Apply them to compute and let well-designed futures move forward.

As we get closer to the launch of @flop_labs Testnet and Airdrop in a few weeks please remember:
THERE IS NO FLOP TOKEN

“What do agents eat?”
@CryptoHayes's answer: compute. And right now, agents don’t have a currency for it.

CoreWeave’s five-year CDS hit a record 1,194 bps on last week (ICE data, via Bloomberg). Run the standard math with 40% recovery and that’s about a 63% chance of default within five years.
Nobody’s saying the GPUs stopped working. The market is pricing the odds that a five-year promise to pay for them gets broken.
A GPU owner selling inference by the job doesn’t need anyone to believe a five-year promise. Paid when the work clears, 85% of the fee, liquid.
