The face of the Gen Z protests, activist Neha Bora (@neha_aisa) has said, a video of her purportedly drawing parallels with the violent student protests in Bangladesh was doctored and that she does not support the use of violence at all. Speaking to Nidhi Razdan (@Nidhi) on Dekoder she said “you cannot accuse a person who has been sitting on 23 days of hunger strike that she's calling for violence. You cannot accuse us as activists who have been dragged on the street, whose clothes have been torn, who have been kept in detention for 10 hours, 12 hours, and have still not said one word of abuse to the security forces, or have not picked up any arms. We were getting beaten up by security forces. We were getting beaten up by right wing goons. What did we have in our hands? Did we have lathis? Did we have pellet guns like the security forces on 20th of July? No.” Talking about the future of the protests she said , “the state is busy writing definitions of its own and I believe the agitation and resistance of the common people in favour of democracy is also busy writing definitions of its own.” Watch this conversation and follow DeKoder for more. #NehaBora #Protest #ECI #SIR #GenZProtests #PoliceAction #RightToProtest #Democracy

🇮🇱 Could Benjamin Netanyahu's biggest challenge come from Gadi Eisenkot? Israel's political landscape could be heading for a major shift. According to Global Online Data's estimates as of October 27, Gadi Eisenkot leads with a 59% chance, followed by Benjamin Netanyahu at 30% and Naftali Bennett at 11%. But election probabilities are not guarantees, and Israel's next Prime Minister will ultimately depend on parliamentary numbers and coalition-building. Do you think Netanyahu can stage a comeback, or is Israel ready for new leadership? Gadi Eizenkot is a retired IDF Lieutenant General and the former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (2015–2019), who later served as a minister in Benjamin Netanyahu’s emergency war cabinet. After resigning in protest in mid-2024 over the lack of a clear post-war strategy, he founded and now leads the centrist Yashar (“Straight”) party. Benjamin Netanyahu is the longest-serving prime minister in Israeli history. His governance has centered on strict national defense, economic deregulation, and aggressive counter-terrorism stances against regional adversaries. He remains a deeply polarizing figure both domestically and internationally while continuing to shape Israel’s political and military strategies. Naftali Bennett is an Israeli politician, businessman, and former military officer who served as the 13th Prime Minister of Israel from June 2021 to June 2022. He subsequently served as the alternate prime minister until November 2022. Known for his background as a tech millionaire turned right-wing politician, Bennett currently leads the “Bennett 2026” party.
