If you visit DeFi Saver and loop $wstETH at 9x leverage via @aave v3 - you'd have a Net APY of over 20%
But, we want to be fair and share why this double-digit yield might not last longer than a few days.
@defi_milos, our support expert - provides a detailed breakdown of why $wstETH's yield spiked in the first place following the Binance hack - and why it's likely to return back to its baseline levels.
Seen the double-digit APYs on @LidoFinance's $wstETH loops recently? They likely won't last long.
In this vid, I break down:
• Why it recently spiked
• Where its yield comes from
• How looping works through @DeFiSaver
And why a juicy 7-day average doesn't mean you're locking in that yield for a year.
With all that said - Looping $wstETH is still a highly utilized strategy for those looking to earn passive yield on their LST.
And, while looping manually can be a process that takes a lot of time and gas - you can set the loop up in one transaction on DeFi Saver.

After both of the previous two US midterms, $ETH saw double-digit one-day selloffs:
2018: −15.7%, 13 days after the vote
2022: −29%, within the following 2 days
History isn't a forecast, but your leveraged position needs a plan ahead of the vote.
DeFi Saver's automations keep you safe from liquidation by repaying debt when your target threshold is hit.

How complex is it to set the automation up? A few clicks.
1. Visit app.defisaver.com
2. Connect your wallet
3. Toggle on Liquidation Protection

Automated Leverage Management lets you set the exact Safety Ratio at which your position will be automatically repaid to your set Safety Ratio.
If you prefer a price trigger, the Repay on Target Price automation lets you set the collateral price at which your position will be automatically repaid to your desired Safety Ratio.
Cool to see liquidity going up (once again) in Morpho Midnight.
💡ICYMI, we have full support for Midnight at DFS:
That includes both @Morpho and @TenorFinance markets, across mainnet and Base, as well as extra features such as Boosting/Repaying with either collateral or through the orderbook.
Available at: app.defisaver.com/morphomidn…
Offers on @Morpho Midnight are back above where they were before the
Before : $210M offers / $41M net depth
Binance Hack : $16m offers / $2.15m net depth
Now : $390M offers / $27M net depth
Net depth : $42M -> $2M -> 27M
And below might be a feature not many people talk about :
On a pooled market $39M leaving is everyone’s problem. Utilization jumps, borrow rates spike and the lenders who stay can find they can’t get out. After the rsETH exploit, Aave’s WETH went from 90% lent out to 100% in 2.4 hours.
Midnight has no shared pool and no shared rate. Each carries its own price, so pulling one only removes that offer and that's it. Loans already matched keeps the rate and their maturity.
You probably noticed one of our longest-standing features got a major upgrade. 🛟
Since we launched it in 2020, Loan Shifter has helped numerous users move DeFi positions between protocols without having to close and rebuild them from scratch.
With V2, we've introduced EOA support and partial position shifts, alongside a brand new interface and a more detailed overview of key position metrics before you make the shift.
We’ve broken down all the changes in our latest blog post. Give it a read. 👇
All markets frozen on @aave and @compound_xyz due to the Binance incident have now been fully unfrozen.
Separately, $tBTCn has been temporarily frozen as a precautionary measure following Threshold Network’s ongoing maintenance.
New $tBTC deposits and borrowing against it are currently restricted. Existing positions remain fully functional, and users can continue to repay, withdraw, and manage them as usual.
🔔 While some markets on @aave V3 and V4 have been unfrozen, some assets such as USDT and USDC remain at LTV 0.
This is a reminder that you can still repay, pay back, close your positions, or withdraw the collateral.
In fact, in just the last 24 hours, we've seen:
-Around $521K worth of collateral repaid and paid back.
-12 positions closed through DFS, and 37 withdrawals.
Collateral at LTV 0 doesn't mean you're stuck. And if you need a hand, our team is available on Discord.

📢Important updates on Aave and Compound:
The Aave team has confirmed that V3 and V4 markets have been frozen in response to the Binance exploit.
Aave users can still pay back debt or unwind their positions (through repaying with collateral). Our Automation options are also functional for these positions, though only in the unwinding direction.
In the meantime, the Compound team has also paused supplies on multiple V3 markets in response to the same event.
Compound users are currently unable to supply new funds or pay back any debt. Our Automation options are unfortunately not functional in these protocol conditions.
Please see quoted posts below for more details from both protocols.
As always, please feel free to reach out to our team with any additional questions.
📢Important update on Aave:
The LTV values for all assets across V3 and V4 markets on Ethereum mainnet and V3 markets on Base have been set to 0%.
No new borrowings can be done as of this moment.
This has been done in response to the massive Binance exploit.
We're monitoring the situation and are available for any user questions, be it here, in our Discord server, or our in-app support chat.
Latest update from Compound:
New supplies to affected Compound markets are temporarily paused as a precaution following the reported security incident on Ethereum mainnet. Follow updates on the Compound forum: comp.xyz/t/compound-v3-suppl…
