How and why what we do: 🧵... Seems like we think (analyze) and then we do (choose). We actually feel first (middle and last). The feelings provide both context and summarize our analyses.

There are 2 maybe 3 generations of traders that have no idea how to trade a real bear market.

Reese's Pieces have no chocolate in them. The peanuts had their oil pressed out and a cheaper fat put back in. Sugar is first, then partially defatted peanuts, then hydrogenated palm kernel and soybean oil, then corn syrup solids. Everything after that is 2% or less, and it's the dyes, the glaze, some vanillin and a little milk. There's no cocoa anywhere. Partially defatted just means the peanuts went through a press. The peanut oil comes out one side and gets sold as peanut oil. What's left is a dry peanut flour, and that's what the center is made from, because flour holds a shape in a panning drum and doesn't go rancid. Then they put fat back in, and the fat they picked is hydrogenated palm kernel oil, which is solid at room temperature and costs less than peanut oil. You can see the swap on the panel. 38 pieces have 6 g of fat and all 6 are saturated. Peanut oil is mostly unsaturated, so that number isn't the peanut. The shell is sugar with 4 dyes and a coat of shellac.

So much for the comments that the body does not keep the score. Those who say that wish that were true - a form of denial.
Daymond John went in for dental work and walked out with his rotator cuff pain gone. Gary Brecka chipped a tooth, sent a photo to Dr. Gandhi, and got a text back asking if he had left shoulder pain, lower lobe lung pain during cardio, and a left toe that randomly went numb. All of it was real. None of it had been mentioned. After the tooth was cleaned and capped, everything cleared in 48 hours. They keep pointing to meridian lines and old root canals as the connection. Two people with public platforms describing the same odd pattern. Bodies keep more receipts than most of us give them credit for. A tooth problem doesn’t always stay in the mouth.

Remember this when it comes to basic health.
Dana White: "I Will NEVER Talk To A Doctor About My General Health Ever Again." "Never again, none of them know what they're talking about. They're all full of sh*t. All they know is to put you on pills & put you on medicine. That's all they know." In 1910, The Rockefeller Foundation, along with the Carnegie Foundation funded the Flexner Report. The goal was to shift all medical schools & all teaching hospitals away from natural traditional root cause medicine & shift towards petroleum based medications & allopathic medicine for profit. During this time, therapies such as homeopathy, herbal medicine, essential oils, chiropractic & naturopathy were commonplace. The 1910 Flexner report concluded that these natural healing modalities were “unscientific quackery.” This report also concluded that there were too many medical schools as well as too many doctors in America & called for the standardization of medical education. Of course, this was with underlying intentions being that the American Medical Association would be the only entity that could approve medical school licensure in America. Rockefeller worked with Andrew Carnegie to provide funding for medical schools across the country. This was with the condition, of course, that they only taught allopathic medicine & they were offered grants of significant proportions in order to adhere to these conditions. Through these grants, primarily fueled by Rockefeller’s petroleum monopoly, helped to systematically remove any mention of plant-based natural treatments along with teachings on nutrition & diet from medical education curricula. Supported by Rockefeller’s influence on the media of the time, homeopathic & natural medicines were quickly discredited & demonized through targeted media campaigns.

Nov 2 is next Monday... what is going on?
BREAKING: Japan to urge all citizens to stockpile at least 3 days of food and water in preparation for major disasters and events, with an official emergency request set for November 2. "At least three days, and I'd like to say a week if possible… please prepare food, toilets, and water properly at home even without public assistance," Japan's Disaster Management says. It comes just 2 days after the Pentagon started to prepare every major US military base to operate for at least 90 days without outside electricity, fuel, water or supplies, anticipating a major war. The UK launched the "Be Ready" program 5 days ago, also advising all citizens to keep 3 days of key supplies, including bottled water, non-perishable food, and a battery or wind-up FM radio.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Japan's call for citizens to stockpile at least 3 days of supplies is longstanding official advice for natural disasters like earthquakes and is tied to the scheduled November 2 launch of its new National Disaster Management Agency. japantimes.co.jp/news/2026/09/2… maff.go.jp/j/zyukyu/foods… ibtimes.co.uk/japan-househol…

I think I learned to do this as a bored, early-rising only child. Going to a very religious high school set me up to do it again in college. Then I quit a good job and after skiing for a season, went and studied it in grad school.
Metacognition is the highest form of intelligence 🧠 Metacognition is the ability to think about your own thinking. It allows you to recognize your thought patterns, question your beliefs, understand your emotions, and reflect on how you make decisions. People with strong metacognitive skills are better able to recognize their mistakes, adjust their behavior, and learn from experiences. While it's often considered an important part of intelligence, metacognition goes beyond simply knowing information. It's about understanding how your mind works and using that awareness to make better choices.

Humans haven't changed. The underlying processes of prediction based on past experience and the subconscious assessment whether a development is good or bad for person is not going away. Attempting to override either is a waste of time.
