It’s #WackyWednesday, and sometimes unusual designs make history! Pushy Galore became a part of our museum in 1998 after years of competing in the Reno Air Races and setting three time-to-climb records – two right here in Oshkosh!
Were any of you there to see Pushy set those records?

There’s just something about a Stearman.😍
Classic lines, but custom style, this is Bryan Brannon’s Stearman Model 75 that has the timeless biplane look with plenty of personality.
A clear winner of the Bronze Age Lindy for Outstanding Open-Cockpit Biplane at AirVenture 2024!
Are you able to identify any of those customizations?

Sam Johnson and Buzz Kaplan built this Sikorsky S-38 replica, The Spirit of Carnauba, to retrace H.F. Johnson Jr.’s historic 1935 Brazilian expedition for Carnauba wax, a vital resource at the time.
We played host to this aircraft several times during the late 1990s and early 2000s, and we never got tired of seeing it!

Helping us feel those #SpookySeason vibes – Strega and Voodoo. 👻🧟
Did you know that “strega” is Italian for witch?
The only thing scary about these two P-51 air racers is how frighteningly fast they are, as demonstrated here at the @PlanesofFame Air Show in Chino, California, in 2018.
