NUMBER ONE IN EDUCATION FREEDOM.
For the 5th STRAIGHT YEAR, @Heritage has ranked the Free State of Florida as the top state for education freedom in the country.
We will continue leading on parents' rights, school choice, and academic integrity in our schools.
THIS is what work-ready education looks like.
At Atlantic High School in Volusia County, students can explore career pathways in aerospace technology, A&P mechanics, teacher prep—and even earn a Private Pilot License BEFORE graduation. ⬇️

.@EDSecMcMahon vision for the next 250 years of American education will restore the Golden Age of American education!
In the Free State of Florida, we know school choice and education freedom are truly successful policies.
We will continue doubling down on what works by supporting school choice and keeping parents at the center of their child’s education.
For Dr. Jasmine Cohen-Young, school choice played a pivotal role in her career and academic success.
Through a scholarship from @StepUp4Students, Jasmine was able to attend middle school at the Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg, where she developed a passion for learning and a desire to help others.
This is what school choice is about: giving students and families the freedom to choose the best pathway to achieve success and find opportunity.

Great meeting with Dr. Harry Moon, President of @NSUFlorida, today to talk about the future of workforce training in Florida. NSU’s focus on innovation, research, and preparing students for high-demand careers is exactly the kind of partnership we need to strengthen our talent pipeline. Looking forward to what’s ahead. 🦈

This morning, I reached out to @FAMUPRESMARVAJ to share, on behalf of the @SUS_Florida Board of Governors, our deep sadness for the victims of the violence that occurred during homecoming weekend after the game last night. Bad enough that anyone was injured, but that innocent children were injured makes this all the more horrifying.
President Johnson has our full support as she leads the Rattler Nation through this. Please pray for her and for all who were directly affected by this shooting. And pray for law enforcement to bring those who are responsible to justice. There is NO place for violence, and certainly not related to a college event where students, children and the general public may be victims.

Our hearts are with the victims and everyone affected by tonight’s incident on Perry Street. Please avoid the area as Tallahassee police investigate. Read the University’s statement below and follow official University channels for updates.

My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and the entire Rattler community after last night’s tragic shooting near @FAMU_1887. As a Tallahassee resident, this hits especially close to home.
Violence of any kind has no place in our communities. No student, no child, no family should have to experience the fear and heartbreak of senseless violence. @EducationFL stands with FAMU’s students, faculty, and staff.
Grateful to the Tallahassee Police Department and all first responders who responded so quickly. We pray for healing for everyone impacted.
85 YEARS OF IMPACT.
Yesterday, Commissioner @HenmackIII joined our Division of Blind Services at their 85th anniversary celebration in Tallahassee.
We’re committed to continuing our work to expand opportunity and accessibility for Floridians who are blind or visually impaired.
