The message is clear: 🔹Protect civilian ships and ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea. 🔹Hold Russia accountable for attacks on civilian vessels and the disruption caused by its war against Ukraine. 🔹Strengthen air and maritime defences. 🔹Work more closely with NATO to protect Europe's Eastern borders. 🔹Protect vital infrastructure, including ports, energy networks and transport routes. 🔹Invest in European defence capabilities to better respond to drones and other threats. "13.8 million quality jobs in Europe and around 7% of EU GDP depend on the automotive industry. With today’s vote, we took an important step to protect those jobs and to make sure that this industry continues to have a future in Europe. The deal is agreed and the EPP Group is keeping its word. Together with our partners, we have agreed to reverse the combustion engine ban. This gives the car industry the flexibility it needs to transform and businesses greater certainty to plan and invest. We have also secured important new incentives for green steel made in the EU. The EPP Group today secured Parliament’s backing to delay methane rules for energy imports by three years and to review Europe’s readiness to implement them. The goal remains to cut methane emissions while maintaining reliable energy supplies and protecting families and businesses from rising energy prices. "Today’s vote marks an important step towards a more realistic and effective implementation of the EU Methane Regulation. The EPP Group wants simpler, more predictable rules for chemicals, cosmetics and fertilisers to reduce unnecessary burdens on businesses without compromising people’s health or the environment. The EPP Group has pushed to keep safety warnings on cosmetic products clear and easy to read, keep scientific experts involved in safety decisions and give businesses enough time to adapt. Thanks to our efforts, the final agreement maintains the general ban on cancer-causing and other harmful substances in cosmetics, without exceptions based on exposure. "When you pick up a product in a shop, you should be able to find and understand the safety information you need. Clear labels help people use products safely and make informed choices.
