With confidential payroll, the salary amounts can remain encrypted while the payment records are still processed and recorded on-chain. Employees can access their own payment information, while authorized parties can verify the relevant records. In their technical validation, all four sample payments were successfully recorded, and the decrypted amounts matched the original salary figures. Of course, this was a technical validation using sample employees, not a full-scale commercial payroll deployment. But it demonstrates something important. Blockchain doesn't necessarily have to mean exposing every financial detail to the public. And payroll is only one example. Think about what this could mean for businesses handling treasury operations, institutional payments, private credit and other financial activities on-chain. This is also why I find Primus worth watching. The project raised $6.5M across its pre-seed and seed rounds in February 2025. I recently took the Spot the AI Trap quiz by @APCollective in collaboration with @MEXC, just to test how good I am at spotting online threats. I scored 97/100! 🥰 I was pretty happy with the result, but it reminded me of one particular experience where I almost walked straight into a pure crypto scam. Back when I was an ambassador for AsterDex, I was waiting to claim my reward during their token launch. There was a little delay with the payment, so when an account reached out to me on X claiming to be Aster Foundation, with a link to claim my reward, I was genuinely excited because that's exactly what I have been waiting for And honestly, they did a pretty good job setting the trap. The account had a good number of followers, was properly branded to look like the actual Aster Foundation page, and even had an affiliation badge that look similar to the to that of AsterDex. Their posts also had decent engagement. What made it even more convincing was that they had a post on their X page congratulating me as an ambassador, and also telling people to claim their airdrops. All of these makes the whole thing feel even more legitimate. The website also looked almost identical to AsterDex's main page. Everything seemed legitimate at first glance. There was nothing immediately obvious that would make you question it. I was so excited that my reward had finally arrived that I was just one step away from connecting my wallet. But something told me to slow down. I decided to do a little digging, and that's when I started noticing suspicious patterns. Some details weren't adding up. All the accounts engaging with their page were all bottled accounts with zero followers and after checking the AsterDex Discord, I eventually discovered that the whole thing was a corporate scam. 😂😂 Think about it: I was almost ready to connect my wallet simply because I was expecting a reward I had actually worked for. That's how these traps work. They don't always come with obvious red flags. Sometimes, scammers go as far as building convincing profiles, gathering followers, copying official branding, creating fake affiliations, and even using your identity or achievements to make you trust them. That's why scoring 97/100 on the quiz felt good, but the real lesson is that nobody is too experienced to be targeted. If I could add ONE line to the Bitcoin whitepaper, it would be: "Take time to learn Web3 before risking your money chasing opportunities you don't understand" When I first got into Web3, I honestly thought it was all about making quick money. I would see my friends posting their wins and immediately start looking for the next airdrop, giveaway, or 100x opportunity. I still remember the first money I made in Web3. I used it to buy a honeypot token, thinking I was already on my way to becoming rich. Only later did I realise that I had bought a token I couldn't even sell. 😂 That wasn't the only time either. I joined countless projects hoping to find the next 100x, and along the way, I experienced rug pulls and lost money chasing opportunities I barely understood. Eventually, I realised I was spending so much time looking for money that I wasn't spending enough time learning the space. Things started changing when I decided to pay attention, understand how Web3 actually works, and look beyond airdrops and quick profits. That's when I began to see how much more there was to this space and how I could contribute instead of just being another person chasing rewards.
