With FIFAe postponed and ENC moved to 2027, I have some extra capacity for work over the next few months.
Contract or advisory work: team ops, event logistics, budgets and player welfare.
New RLCS partner teams gearing up for the 2027 season in particular, hit me up!

I hope that the Uni recognises the significance of the opportunity they have for students to get work experience in an industry with very few opportunities & are compensating accordingly!

We at YOKAI are very proud to announce we are partnered with the University of Northampton as a Work Experience provider for their Esports Students as part of the expansion of YOKAI Academy.
It is part of our directive under the Academy to help bring people into Esports and make it seem like a less intimidating space for those who are new to venture into, and find their interests within the scene. We will be hosting sets of students for 6-week periods at a time, giving them hands-on experience in all things necessary for running an Org and managing teams - from learning about a variety of Esports, to learning the importance of Social Media and Marketing, and being hands on with players in Management or Coaching positions.
Thank you very much to @UniNorthants for this opportunity, and we're excited to meet the incoming students soon.

FIFA and the Saudi Esports Federation have announced the postponement of the FIFAe Finals 2026, originally scheduled to take place in Jeddah from 16 to 25 October.
The decision follows an assessment of recent developments in the region and their impact on the logistical arrangements required to stage the tournament.
FIFA expressed its appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Esports Federation for their support and cooperation in preparations for the FIFAe Finals 2026, building on Saudi Arabia’s successful hosting of previous editions of the tournament.
Further announcements on the FIFAe Finals will be communicated in due course.

Being a dad is the most terrifying thing I have ever experienced. They say having a child is like watching your heart walk around outside of your body and honestly, I get it.
My son turned one year old today!
He has given me more joy in the past 12 months than I have experienced in my whole life. He lights up my whole world with one smile on awful days.
He's already learnt so much too, he can say a handful of words, I've watched him learn to crawl and then walk already (basically running at this point) and he has such a cheeky personality. I cannot wait to see what year 2 brings.

For those asking, England is one of several nations, around eight so far, that have withdrawn from the FIFAe Finals.
I've loved attending events in Saudi Arabia and was really looking forward to seeing Jeddah. I'd planned to bring my whole family out for FIFAe and ENC this year.
But if there's even a small risk of getting caught up in the ongoing conflict, it isn't worth it for a few games of Rocket League. The renewed escalation over the past few days is extremely concerning, and I hope everyone stays safe 🙏
The beef between the French orgs in RL is incredible to watch from the outside & the numbers it is doing for the esport in off-season
However, Vitality are the only ones coming out of this looking like they have their shit together as a professional org, it has to be said

Would I use AI to build an entire game? Absolutely not. But could AI generate playable versions of ideas for pitches or lay the foundations for designers to build from?
Quite possibly.
It's not a tool to build entire games imo, but it can be a tool to reduce the work. As AI should be used imo.
Yes, this is a worse version of Rocket League in the video but the point is what can be produced with the right prompts in a very short amount of time.
