We strongly condemn today’s attack on the Barakah nuclear power plant in the UAE, which is a blatant violation of international law and a threat to security and stability in the region.
The protection of nuclear facilities everywhere is non negotiable.

I received a phone call from Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Helen McEntee, during which she affirmed her country’s determination to mobilize all its efforts within the European Union to put an end to the ongoing Israeli escalation on Lebanese territory. She also expressed her strong condemnation of the harm inflicted on innocent civilians as a result of these attacks.
For my part, I thanked her for Ireland’s steadfast and continuous support for Lebanon, and commended the significant sacrifices made by the Irish contingent within United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, which continues to serve the local population and help preserve stability in the South.
Thank you to the wonderful @FikerInstitute for hosting HE @NouraAlKaabi today for a calm and confident analysis of the current situation, where UAE citizens and residents alike are being kept safe thanks to a resilient and strong 🇦🇪 defence and astute leadership.
