📢 @UNESCO published a report on the current situation regarding the safety of #journalists and the dangers posed by impunity.
🔴 A total of 1,641 journalists have been killed worldwide since UNESCO began systematically monitoring in 2006, on average, 1 every 4 days. ⤵️
Six out of seven journalist killings worldwide are not brought to justice.
According to @UNESCO's latest report, the global impunity rate increased by one percentage point to 86% in 2026, interrupting a long-term decline from 95% in 2012, largely due to escalating conflicts.
