I donβt think people in this space understand what artists go through to become established and respected.
often it takes years and years of grinding, working multiple jobs they donβt care for while drawing late into the night to up-skill.
and then finally as they go into full breakout mode and get the success they deserve, some degenerate larp who thinks they know better has the nerve to fud them or drop some sort of abuse in their comments on X.
welcome to web3 btw.
There is a fundamental problem. @multiversx users have not grasped NFT technology, and most projects to date have failed to cultivate a genuine culture around their collectibles.
Projects need to shift their focus away from utility and toward exclusivityβmaking holders proud of what they own.

CRYPTOPUNKS: THE COLLECTION THAT ALMOST NOBODY NOTICED.
In June 2017, two developers, Matt Hall and John Watkinson, released something that would become one of the most iconic projects in NFT history.
They called it CryptoPunks.
π§΅π
Starting today, for 7 days, all collectibles in the P.F.P. collection are on sale for $15 instead of $25.
The OG characters are $30 instead of $40.

Good morning, everyoneβhere is another truth and a point for reflection.
We need to go back and rebuild some healthier, more genuine foundations.
Iβm not happy in the NFT space anymore
Some people only give opportunities to their close friends, while others are ignored
I believe everyone in this space deserves equal respect and opportunities, but sadly, not everyone is treated equally
When will we change?
When will we start supporting each other and building genuine friendships instead of showing favoritism?
This space should be about community, friendship, and growing together
Iβm disappointed with how things are, and Iβve decided to leave
Goodbye everyone and I Wishing you all the best
I can only share a little bit for now, but Iβm working on my first 1:1, which Iβll be releasing on @ethereum
It will be a character thatβs part of a series consisting of just 10 pieces.
Naturally, these will be pieces illustrated in my own style that evoke the past.
Next week, all characters from the P.F.P. collection will be on a special, limited-time offer for $15 instead of $25. The OG characters will be $30 instead of $40.
One of the very few pieces of content that is truly interesting and deserves to be read by everyoneβartists and collectors alike.
It is something that should give everyone pause for thought.
Iβve been less present in the NFT space lately, and I think itβs time to explain why. Not to justify myself or announce my departure, but simply to share my thoughts after five years in this ecosystem.
Recently, I mentioned some important collectors who have never collected my work, and some people interpreted that as a lack of gratitude toward those who have supported me. That was never my intention. Recognizing the importance of certain figures in this space doesnβt diminish my gratitude toward those who have chosen to collect my work. Without them, my journey would have been very different, and Iβve never forgotten that.
But thereβs something else Iβd like to explain. Over the past few months, Iβve spent an enormous amount of time working on projects for this community. There was DROITS RΓSERVΓS, a collection of 69 pieces that sold out. Then Orbit, an archive documenting five years of relationships with my collectors. Weeks of work, organizing, structuring, and recognizing the people who have supported me. A huge personal investment, and yet very little reaction. I find it strange that weeks of creative work can go almost unnoticed, while one poorly received post can spark controversy. Iβm not saying this out of bitterness, but because I think it reflects something about how this space has evolved. Controversy gets more attention than creation.
I entered this space in 2021. Iβve sold over 100 ETH worth of photography on SuperRare, participated in important projects, and collaborated with people I deeply respect. Iβm proud of that. But today, the market is profoundly different. Active collectors are rare, and the pressure to remain constantly visible has become overwhelming. I see artists endlessly releasing new work, and I genuinely wonder where scarcity still exists. I also see how much energy some artists spend trying to attract the attention of wealthy collectors. I understand the economic reality behind it, but itβs simply not how I want to operate. I respect collectors, but I donβt believe an artist should have to constantly seek their approval to remain relevant.
Thereβs also an economic reality. My career as a photographer and director outside Web3 is doing very well. DROITS RΓSERVΓS brought me around β¬5,000, less than what I can earn in two weeks of professional work. Yet I spent a month creating it, followed by several more weeks working on Orbit. I didnβt do it because it was profitable. I did it because I believed in it, because this community still matters to me, and because I believe some things deserve to exist beyond their immediate financial return.
But my time is not unlimited. I have a career, clients, projects, a family, and this year has also been marked by a loss in my family that made me reconsider certain priorities. I canβt spend my days posting, promoting, explaining what Iβm doing, or constantly trying to convince people that my work has value. And frankly, I donβt think I should have to.
I donβt believe an artist becomes less valuable simply because theyβre less visible. Iβve always believed in controlling the number of works I release, in consistency, in scarcity, and above all, in longevity. I donβt want to create just to stay on someoneβs timeline. I donβt want to release new pieces simply because the market expects me to. And I certainly donβt want my relationship with collectors to become a permanent exercise in seeking attention.
Iβll continue creating when I have something genuine to express, appreciating those who have supported me, and moving forward at my own pace. Iβm not leaving, but Iβm also not going to pretend that everything is fine or that I need to participate in every conversation to prove I still belong here.
Visibility is temporary, attention is temporary, and markets are temporary. What interests me is what remains when all of that disappears. Thatβs the artist I want to be, and thatβs the body of work I want to leave behind.
