I was honored to attend the Richland Two Education Foundation’s Order of the Flame Gala and celebrate this year’s inductees Justin Bethel, Dr. Dan Cobb, Benjamin Duncan II, Jo Hecker, Dr. Dale Holden, Matthew Littlejohn, Joel Lourie, and Angela Powers. Many of these honorees are known through their work in our community, but hearing more of their stories and learning about the many ways they have served was inspiring. Their civic, professional, and volunteer contributions have enriched the lives of others through their time, talent, and generosity. Richland Two, our community, and their professions have all benefited from their commitment. Their work and generosity has helped shape Richland Two into the district it is today. A special thank you to the student escorts who accompanied our inductees: Blythewood High School Cooper Hicklin and Delaney Uehling Richland Northeast High School Ken’Nasia McRae and Markell Watson Ridge View High School Reagan Simmons and Kennedy Johnson Spring Valley High School Jasmyn Grahma and Raave Virk Westwood High School Kaleb Haynie and Makhyah McCants Thank you to Judy Gadson, our mistress of ceremonies, for sharing such inspiring words with the honorees, and to Dr. Wendy Campbell for a wonderful rendition of the national anthem and entertainment for the evening. It was great to enjoy the evening with fellow board members Niki Porter and Shelley Williams, and an honor to welcome State House District 78 Representative Beth Bernstein. I enjoyed talking with so many wonderful people who have been part of Richland Two’s foundation, growth, and story. Congratulations to all of this year’s inductees! #dennis4r2 #orderoftheflame @nporterRocks @bethbernsteinsc @JudiGatson @RichlandTwo @RNECavaliers @SV_Vikings @WHS_Redhawks @rvhs @BlythewoodHigh

WOW -- NBC calls South Carolina for Annie Andrews!

SC is moving toward Annie Andrews. in Senate race Check out Darlington Co (yes home of speedway). Trump won it by 13 points. Andrews is up by 28 pct w over 60% of vote in. A flip of Lindsey Graham's old seat would be seismic and biggest upset so far of night.

#scVOTES has broken the record for votes cast in a gubernatorial election! As of 4:30 p.m., 1,797,335 have voted, 52.3% of registered voters and surpassing the 2018 record. While we haven’t broken the record for % turnout in a gubernatorial election (54.6%, 2002), there’s time!
