🎉 IT'S RELEASE DAY!
Take It Apart by Katey Howes, illustrated by Elizabet Vuković, is out now! 🔧
We're honored to celebrate with Katey's daughter, Elfia, holding a copy of her mom's newest book, a beautiful reminder that Katey's stories continue to inspire young readers.
Pick something safe and familiar.
👟 A shoe
🧸 A stuffed animal
🎒 A backpack
🖍️ A crayon
Now ask:
“What are all the little parts that make this work?”
Sometimes the most interesting discoveries are hiding in plain sight!
Inspired by #TakeItApart by #KateyHowes.
A shoelace?
A zipper?
A button?
A wheel?
Every little part has a job!
Pick one and make your best guess:
“I think this part helps because…”
That's how curiosity turns into discovery. 🔎

Look at something you use every day.
Can you find:
Part that moves?
Part that makes it work?
Part holding everything together?
Don't just look at the object.
Look closer!
#TakeItApart by #KateyHowes inspires kids to explore the little pieces inside everyday things.
Pick an object.
Don't take it apart yet!
Draw what you think is inside.
Now compare your drawing with reality.
Were you right… or completely surprised?
That's the fun of curiosity!
