Perhaps we're looking at Kadena through the wrong lens.
For years, Kadena was associated with the company behind it. When Kadena LLC collapsed, the market treated it as the end of the story.
But what if that was the beginning of a different one?
The blockchain survived. The community stepped forward, took over the software and maintenance, and established Kadena Community Edition.
Think about what that means.
Kadena no longer needs a central company at its heart. Anyone can build on the protocol, create products, establish businesses and generate revenue independently.
In that sense, Kadena has an opportunity to move closer to the Bitcoin model: an independent network where the ecosystem doesn't depend on a company to exist.
The company has already walked away. The opportunity to build remains.
Perhaps we should stop looking at Kadena as a failed company and start looking at it as an established blockchain finding its independence.
Two very different investment theses.
And perhaps the market hasn't fully appreciated that distinction yet. 💚
