Step into sustainability. We teamed up with @Pavegen this #LondonClimateActionWeek - walking across their smart floor tiles at 22 Bishopsgate generated clean energy and planted trees. Our goal? 1,000 trees = 1,000 tonnes of CO₂ absorbed. Thank you for helping us power a greener future, one step at a time.

Hi @Airbnb please can you help me? I just lost £2k and really unhappy with the feedback from your resolution team.

The law of conservation of energy applies to kinetic tiles like Pavegen’s. They convert energy from your footsteps into electricity, about 2-8 watts per step. Studies suggest the extra energy you expend is tiny, around 0.3 J/kgm, so you don’t feel more tired. User feedback, like at the London Olympics, supports this. However, the tiles’ efficiency is low, suitable only for small-scale power like LED lights, not large energy needs. The energy isn’t from “thin air” but from your motion, yet the impact on fatigue is negligible.

There are valid criticisms of Jay. This is a reach. It’s as simple as “we’re building a park for kids and while they (naturally) play they’ll also generate power.” Sounds like a win-win. Like the Pavegen electricity tiles.
Esp cuz it’s backed by a seemingly reputable non-profit.

Imagine a world where every step doesn’t just move you forward - it powers the future. Introducing walk to light, a new kinetic technology that lets you leave your footprint on your city, converting your steps to power by @Pavegen
quick Q - @MinutHQ , do you have a mains power version that I can use vs one that I need to keep charging the batteries?
Hi @united - I bought tickets weeks ago with confirmation to fly back from Guatemala to London and have just shown up and been told that we don’t have tickets?! Technical glitch your side as we have confirmation email. We have one hour, can you help me and my family get home?
So @Pavegen have a lovely office in @SECONDHOME_IO in East London in the heart of Spitalfields - a shame to hear they are going under! sifted.eu/articles/second-ho… what is worse is that we used to be at @WeWork when that went under too!
We have this stunning main office, and another for the management team. It’s lovely with great views! Who can host the @pavegen team next? Happy to take any journalists on an office tour if interested!
