You just went on QT and denied climate change is a problem, even after the hottest winter on record and thousands of heat related deaths.
We’re the ones on another planet?
Funny considering you so regularly talk out of Uranus.
After years of economic chaos, we need a real growth plan with Europe at its heart.
We will continue to call on Labour to fix the Tories’ botched Brexit deal, unlock growth and cut taxes and bills.
A stronger partnership with Europe is key to growing our economy and cutting taxes and bills.
Instead, we've been left with a Budget that falls short of what's needed.
@libdemdaisy
Nigel Farage had every opportunity to make his voice heard in Parliament but instead he chose to hold a press conference.
That was his decision, and he should be honest about it.

Oop!
'Did you tell Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng there was too much in their mini-budget before they announced it?' - @WilfredFrost

Labour & the Conservatives' hidden tax rises are hitting 6.7 million more people.
The Conservatives' stealth tax, that Labour has decided to continue, will pull millions of ordinary workers into paying income tax for the first time.
The last thing millions of people need is a massive stealth tax penalty just as energy bills rise and inflation soars.

On #BBCBreakfast Liberal Democrats leader Sir Ed Davey criticised the Chancellor for freezing income tax thresholds, which will stay at current levels until April 2031 as planned

Wait, WHAT??
You mean he LIED to the press and made up a fake story to cover the fact he couldn’t be bothered to go to the budget?
Shooketh. Hope everyone’s ok, this is brand new information.
NEW:
It has since emerged that Nigel Farage did not attend prayers in the Commons this morning so did not properly reserve his seat

72 million doesn't buy you a prayer card?
NEW @Telegraph understands Nigel Farage did not display a valid date stamp on his prayer card and it was removed as per Chamber protocol.
I also understand Mr Farage did not attend prayers and did not approach Commons staff regarding a seat reservation.

The Chancellor's budget was far too timid.
Our economy is rigged in favour of big banks, energy giants and tech companies.
The Liberal Democrats want to make them pay their fair share, tackle injustice and deliver lasting relief from the cost of living crisis.

Clearly turns up to Parliament so seldom he doesn't know how prayer cards work.
You actually have to turn up for Prayers to confirm your seat.
Nigel Farage was unable to attend the Budget in the Commons because his seat reservation was removed, The Telegraph understands.
The Reform UK leader’s prayer card — a green slip of paper that backbench MPs put on a spot on the green benches to reserve their seat — was moved after it was placed this morning.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Farage's prayer card lacked a valid date stamp and was removed per House of Commons protocol. MPs confirm seats were available unreserved and he did not attend prayers to secure one.

Britain needs a government that stands up for British interests, not one making us dependent on an unpredictable US president. We need an economic plan with Europe at its centre, to make us richer, safer, and stronger.

Today's Budget revealed a concerning truth: Labour lacks a serious vision for Britain on the world stage.
At a time of global instability, foreign policy cannot be an afterthought. What does this Budget tell us about Labour's international priorities? 🧵

The budget was another missed opportunity.
Despite the “change and hope” rhetoric, it’s clear the PM is still hamstrung by out-of-date positions - most notably on Europe.

💰Our economy is rigged in favour of big energy, big banks and big tech who take our money, but don’t take responsibility.
⛓️💥We needed the Budget to break their grip on us by making them pay their fair share to help cut bills beyond the short-term.
👎The Budget fell short of the radical change we need.
📉Families, pensioners and small biz will pay the price in the long-term.
🚀Where’s the ambition?
🇪🇺 And where was ANY mention of fixing our broken relationship with Europe to grow our economy?!

A damp squib for Wales. 🥀
Less additional funding for Wales than last year's Budget, barely any new investment in our infrastructure and economy, and little to help young people.
Wales needs ambition and a serious plan for growth. This Budget delivers neither.

🧵 Today, our country needed a Budget that would strike a better deal with Europe to grow our economy, cut people's bills and put our country on a path to lower taxes.
Instead, we got a steady-as-she-goes Budget that just won't cut it. This isn't the change Labour promised.
