From paralysis to parliament in ten years. Almost exactly ten years ago I was totally paralysed while studying in Argentina. Fortunately I made a full recovery thanks to our NHS, care system and a big dose of good luck. Am now here to fight for others 💪

Last summer Wales was ablaze with hill fires. Unlike our European neighbours, the UK had not invested in dedicated firefighting capabilities. Fortunately the government has listened to my concerns and has now agreed to equip RAF aircraft…

A damp squib for Wales. 🥀
Less additional funding for Wales than last year's Budget, barely any new investment in our infrastructure and economy, and little to help young people.
Wales needs ambition and a serious plan for growth. This Budget delivers neither.

New analysis from the Countryside Alliance shows that rural people pay almost £500 more a year on petrol than people living in towns and cities.
This would be a gross betrayal of former miners across Wales and the UK, including those in my own constituency!
These miners worked hard all their lives. Many are now elderly and in poor health. They deserve to receive the pensions they were promised before it is too late.
EXC: Ministers poised to break promise to former miners over £1.2bn pension fund
Labour MPs tell me they are ‘furious’ and ‘very disappointed’ about the last-minute decision
They are now making urgent representations to No 10, Treasury and whips ahead of tomorrow’s Budget

Really pleased to see my MP, @LibDemDavid, on this list. @powyscc has a long connection to the armed forces, and it is shameful that successive governments have failed to address this clear discrimination against injured veterans.
🎖️I've brought together 103 MPs from 11 parties & @PoppyLegion with a simple Budget ask:
Stop cutting injured veterans' benefits just because they've received military compensation.
Civilian compensation is protected. Veterans should be too.
Chancellor, this injustice must end
1/2 - I want to thank Jane for everything she has done as Leader of our party.
She has led us through some incredibly difficult years with determination and resilience, helping to rebuild our party both at Westminster and locally.
Awful news. My thoughts are with the children involved and their families.

On Saturday I attended a cross-party Mid Wales Health Summit, organised by Protect Bronglais Services. We have signed a cross-party declaration - calling on the Welsh Government Minister for Health to respond. It contains 5 requests:
4) Test every service change against the needs of Mid Wales. The average occupancy rate of our community hospital beds is 91% yet PTHB is considering cutting the number from 148 to 60.
