I created a business account on @Venmo with a separate email address and telephone number from my primary account. Venmo then merged the two accounts (based on my name and date of birth?), meaning logging in to one, gives access to the other. That's ridiculous.

So the only option is to share credentials. Except that doesn't work either, because apparently @Venmo goes out of its way to LOOK FOR a personal account and link the business account to it.

So now if I share credentials to the business account (which is the onl option), I'm also giving that person access to my personal account. Who designed this system?

It's always a bit scary when a financial institution can't tell you why their stuff isn't working. Meet @transferwise, with this helpful error. Their folks were similarly confused. It'll take 2 business days to possibly get an answer as to what's happening. 1/2

To anyone wondering, I'm trying to wire money to pay for a hotel booking in the EU. The property is owned by a global hotel chain. They are equally confused. @Wise

.@VerizonSupport Secret question answers can be up to 40 characters long. You should inform your login page, because it thinks the max is 20. This is on the new website, which is somehow more broken than the old website. Also, just implement proper OTP support, yeah?

So @WesternUnion offers "cash pick up" and "transfer to bank account" options. Somehow, the exchange rate is different for the two (huh?), to the tune of $100! Notice how the fee increases by just $4, while the "total to receiver" changes drastically.

In 2014, I gave a talk on email scams, in which I gave a few examples. One of these was left in a file on my @bluehost account. 6 years later, their "malware scanner" detected it, and took down my _entire_ hosting account for 3 days! The conversation with support went like this:

It only got worse. @bluehost accused me of phishing because I had a custom (private) script and the folder was called "dropbox". @bluehostsupport

For the record, here is how that "phishing" page looked. My server remains suspended as of this tweet.

This isn't who we are, or at least not who we should aspire to be, @RepSwalwell Let's remember who the enemy is. It's not Russian civilians, and certainly not US-based Russian students. forbes.com/sites/stuartander…

@BrotherOffice @Microsoft I am having some trouble getting an older printer working on Windows 11, due to the driver not being signed correctly (with no option to ignore). Printer worked fine on Windows <11. Please advise.

At this point, I can safely say that the only way to get in touch with someone sentient at @VZWSupport is by first filing a @bbb_us complaint. Every other way is just a waste of time. You're terrible, Verizon.
If you're stuck on @jumpline's terrible hosting and need help moving to another host (of your choice), reach out to me. Open and indefinite offer. In related news, I can't believe how bad @JumplineSupport is. 60+ hours and they can't get FTP/SSH working for a client.

My biggest issue with @UberEats is that they are terrible at food delivery. Well, and customer service. I guess that's two issues. Oh, and not great to their employees either. So three issues.

I think this is implying that I should leave a bad review for the restaurant for something that is purely an @UberEats mistake. Shame on you.

Anyone ever wonder whether all of @Verizon is an elaborate social experiment for determining how much absurdity customers will put up with before leaving?
